The worst dining experience of my life!! I booked the duke from previous visits I’ve had one being the last roast dinner I had with my mother before she passed away!! Which Is why I decided to book the duke, based on my previous visits the ROAST DINNER has been delightful “I will attach pictures” However on Christmas Day I was served a steak YES A STEAK wasn't even asked how I wanted it cooked? ! 2 potato’s and a less a handful of veg and omg the bigs in blankets WOW ! This of course was a shock to me but leading up to receiving what they call roast dinner ! Which We waited nearly 2 hours for I had to talk to a supervisor to chase up the bread and drink that we ordered and had been waiting for 30 minutes for to then only receive one bit of bread for 2 people ? I also had to ask for our table to be cleaned for on mains! I’ve managed pubs large venues and have an events company so I know steps of service very well ! There was 3 people on the floor could have easily had a section each it wasn’t overly busy and was a set menu easy to manage with the right direction ! After understandably making a complaint about what we’d been served the waiters response was so rude very hostile said the menu was different for Christmas? The set menu I was sent said sirloin beef not sirloin steak of course I imagined roasted sirloin beef not a braised over cooked steak!!! Then said as long as the food hasn’t been eaten we can refund you! ON CHRISTMAS DAY !!!! Where are we going to get food ? We paid £85 a head whilst waiting for the refund email he then came back to our table and asked if we wanted staff food ? Honestly ruined my first Christmas without my Mother I went home and dinner alone shocking shocking service! CHRISTMAS DAY !!!! I would suggest needing new management ASAP !! First two pictures are what I received last picture is what I previously had will also attach a picture of a sirloin beef!!! Not sirloin steak

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If I could give 10 stars, I would!) I went with a group of friends and my dog to celebrate her 1st birthday, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The food was superb and very generous. I’m not usually a fish and chips person, but it looked so good that I ordered it—no regrets! The fish was beautifully white, flaky, fresh, and tasty, in a perfectly crunchy batter. The chips were spot on, and the mushy peas were such a hit at our table. Two friends had the pork and beef roasts, and not a drop of gravy was left behind. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked, as were the vegetables. My doggy got her own roast as a bday treat, which she absolutely loved. The staff were so sweet and thoughtful, they even took her photo for the pub’s dog wall, which was such a lovely touch. Drinks were just as good: a nice wine list, delicious cocktails (the Hugo was especially refreshing), and the added bonus that £0.50 from every Hugo goes to a sea conservation charity. Service was warm and personal. I was greeted by name when I arrived, and so was my dog! While waiting for my friends, we relaxed on a comfy sofa. The pub itself is beautiful—unique furniture, warm décor, and a welcoming atmosphere full of locals (always a good sign). We loved every moment and will gladly return. Plus, it’s just a short walk from the Thames Path and the Power Station, making it the perfect spot for both people and pups.

DISCLAIMER: we are not British, we are one Italian and one French woman and we don’t do ‘polite’ - we are always honest and we also know our food!! So....It’s been a long time since we were able to enjoy brunch with our friends and I was so glad to come across this beautiful pub in Battersea, on my way to meet up with my friend. They took our booking over the phone straight away and they even accommodated our request to swap tables once we realised our table was not in the sun - nobody does that so that’s a lovely touch. We had amazing Bloody Marys and the food Lorenzo, a chef from Olbia Sardinia, made us was truly to die for. Such a creative, intelligent take on the usual British brunch menu. Lorenzo was kind enough to come out to say hi to us and explain what his plans for the future were in terms of menu: people, brace yourselves for tiramisu sticky pudding because we are already booked in! Nelson who brought us drinks was absolutely lovely and all staff made us feel like home. I can’t wait to be back again to try the Sunday roast and the other wonderful things on the menu.

Nestled in the heart of this charming part of South West London, the Duke of Cambridge pub is a hidden gem that offers an hospitably unparrelled experience for all who visit. From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. The cosy ambiance, complete with homely decor and soft lighting, sets the perfect backdrop for an enjoyable evening.
