Great food! Simply amazing! But that's the only reason I'm giving three stars. The service was horrible, the worst I've ever had. The waitress was rude and incredible slow the whole time. It took the waitress over 30 minuets to bring us our bill after she had cleared our dessert. She came out other times to assist other customers but ignored us trying to get her attention multiple times as well as the table next to us who waited the same time to order their food. We even told another waitress we would like the bill after 20 minuets and nothing was done, she immediately went to assist another table. There wasnt even that many people around. The delievery of food and requesting of refills of drinks was very slow, we should have never tried to order dessert as that took 20 minuets to get her attention. If you go here dont expect fast or nice service! But the food will...

Just superb again! We came (Dec 22) for our Xmas reunion, 14 of us this time. There is a private room and Susan (the manager) and staff looked after us like royalty. We are all wine enthusiasts so love being surrounded by racks of wine (they have 600 varieties). We were introduced to 2 Italian whites that were delicious as aperitifs. One of our number was President of Portuguese wine producers and Brinkleys has an admirable selection of Portuguese wines to choose from, with several rich reds from the Douro Valley to which we did serious damage. But at only £20 a bottle it didn't damage our wallets!! Next time you're contemplating a wine list and wondering if the £50 bottle is worth it remember that at Brinkleys it would only cost you £20!! Sadly I dined here last night (16/05) - the food was terrible and for 3 main courses and 3 drinks the bill was £90! Not to mention we had 1 salad, 1 fish cake and 1 burger. The drinks were 3 beers! THIS PLACE IS A RIPOFF. Not only is the menu slightly bland, the waitress who served us (blonde) literally acted as if she didn't want to be there. She would walk off whilst we were ordering, she was slow and then got our orders totally muddled up. The food also is not great - I left most of my burger and the fish cakes made my partner unwell.
