We were very intrigued about this place after our mum booked it for her birthday celebrations. After all, an American style restaurant combined with a soft play area for kids doesn’t come along all that often!!
At first glance, this is a very nice place with plenty of space and cool American theming. It didn’t feel a million miles off a TGIs type restaurant. The staff were so friendly and incredibly helpful.
Whilst I didn’t get stuck into it a great deal, the kids seemed to be loving the soft play area! This really is a great idea, as it allows the kids to go off and enjoy themselves (removing their painful wait for the food!), giving the adults time to relax and talk - apart from those supervising the kids of course!
Between all of us, we had an ultimate sharing combo (or something like that) and a vegetarian sharing combo. All of the food across both of these was delicious, and made for a nice starter. We had lots of different main courses, but everyone seemed thoroughly satisfied with theirs. My wife and I both had the veggie ranch burger (or a similar name, basically a halloumi burger) which was great as well. It could have done with double the halloumi (or the option to double up on the halloumi for a little extra would be more than welcome), but the overall burger was great and the roasted vegetables in it were superb. Fries were great too, and a decent portion which makes a nice change!
Again, the staff were so helpful throughout and couldn’t do enough to keep us happy. We had a really nice (and hilarious) touch at the end when they brought out our mum’s birthday dessert - with accompanying singing, huge sparkler and pink cowboy hat. She was especially pleased that she got to keep said hat!!
I was going to give a four star rating as it was just a little on the pricey side and the food could do with being a little more adventurous (or the veggie options at least), but I would feel harsh not giving five stars when the staff were just so friendly and helpful.
Very well done guys, thank you for such a fun Sunday afternoon and for making mum’s birthday...
Read moreWas really surprised just how much fun and enjoyable this place was. It is 'American West' themed and so the food is mainly burgers, texmex platters, pulled pork, pizza, etc... but there are a few other options on there to give a wider choice for different tastes. Great for kids! Really nice food and lots of it... was very surprised. We had a mix of platters and pizza and it was wonderful. Great to enjoy washed down with a few beers on the side too. On the back wall there was a large screen playing sport but kept its casual/family vibe rather than simply feeling like a sports bar. It feels like it has a nice balance... where a group of friends could have a bite and few drinks or a family evening out... either would feel fun and comfortable. There was also a lovely softplay room at the back which younger children can use after eating that was well supervised and tables for parents to watch over. The service was wonderful too... with the food arriving in good time. Jasmine was our waitress and I cannot fault her. Warm and welcoming. She was very attentive and did a wonderful job. Overall, I would definitely recommend a visit with the family if you are passing and fancy somewhere different to the regular pubs or Nandos...
Read moreIf it was possible to give 0 stars that's what I would give! I went to Bronco's on Saturday evening with my girlfriend and our two children. We were shown to our table and then completely ignored by the staff for at least 25 minutes. They were more interested in either cleaning the empty tables, chatting amongst themselves or checking on the other customers (the restaurant wasn't busy - so I can't even make that excuse for them, I can now see why...!). Despite several attempts to attract the attention of staff we continued to be ignored. I even asked one of the waiters about one of the dishes as he walked past but that still didn't prompt anyone to even take an order for drinks. As it was coming up to half an hour since we arrived, we'd decided that enough was enough and we would leave. No-one even noticed/batted an eyelid as we upped and left. Absolutely appalling experience, we went across to Nando's instead (which was really nice and had a friendly welcome). My advice - don't waste your time going to this place. We certainly won't EVER be returning...
