A must-visit for those who love genuine Italian cuisine âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸
We encountered the restaurant by chance, and itâs safe to say we hit the jackpot. Greeted by the lovely Sara, she seated us on the lovely terrace at the back.
Saraâs charisma and genuine Italian hospitality ensured that we were off to a great start.
Thatâs only until the food arrived... (Spoiler Alert: it got better)
My partner and I love the classic fregola alla scoglio, which we had tried in Sardinia, so we were quite sceptical about whether weâd be able to experience the magic of this dish in the heart of London.
Any doubts we had, instantly vanished. That first bite (and each one that followed) was PERFECTION â¨
The sauce was packed with flavour, and the seafood in it was abundant and so fresh.
As a fellow Mediterranean (đ˛đšđ¤đŽđš), I can tell you that if youâre looking for a sign to go, THIS IS IT.
My only critique is the vibe/branding of the place. While the experience was 100% Sardinian excellence, I felt there was a bit of a disconnect between the branding and the experience itself.
The restaurant ambience was lovely and the terrace was so charming; however, Italian/Sardinian cuisine wasnât the first thing that came to my mind. It was only when I looked the place up that I decided to give it a go despite coming across the place a bit earlier.
Again, take this with a pinch of salt, itâs only a matter of personal opinion.
That said, we cannot wait to visit...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of visiting Bronzo Sardinian Restaurant on a beautiful and sunny Sunday, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the ambiance and the positive energy that filled this charming little gem.
The restaurant is cozy and feels like a warm, welcoming home. The dĂŠcor is simple yet beautifully done, creating an inviting atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. It's the kind of place where you can linger for hours, savoring both the surroundings and the food.
Speaking of the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. We started with the focaccia and calamari ripieni, along with Pane Carasau. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with authentic flavors that transported us straight to Cagliari. For the main course, we had the homemade cacio e pepe ravioli and fregola al sugoâboth were simply out of this world. The taste was authentic and exactly what you would expect from a traditional Sardinian meal.
Sara and her husband, the owners and chef of the restaurant, are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their passion for what they do is evident in every detail, from the carefully curated menu to the warm hospitality they extend to their guests.
Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience that was worth every penny. Bronzo Sardinian Restaurant is a true hidden treasure, and we can't wait to return. Highly...
Read moreHad 3 dishes here yesterday:
1.) âRISOTTO AI FUNGHI PORCINI E TARTUFO (VEGAN OPTION) ÂŁ18.95 Risotto in a creamy porcini, wild mushrooms and black truffle sauce, Parmesan cheeseâ (I had the vegan option) (8.5/10) - nice flavours, a little mild but nice. Looks fancy in a big flat plate, but this causes the food to cool down faster than if in a bowlâŚ. So presentation over food temperature.
2.) âRAVIOLI OF THE DAY ÂŁ16.95â (7/10) - also had the vegan option, but they might be stopping this soon. Taste was ok, but something tasted a little unusual. Texture was kinda fun and they use good quality oil I think since very dark green.
3.) âFOCACCIA (VG) ÂŁ5.95 Home-made rosemary focacciaâ (10/10) - this was incredibly good. Super crisp on the outside, hot & chewy on the inside and while little oily, the balance of oil & salt done really well. Easily the best dish I had last night. Though I noticed that when other people ordered the same item, they got slightly different looking bread so not sure if itâs consistent?
Overall experience was that itâs more about the vibe & atmosphere than food being incredible.
