Pho Chiswick — Restaurant in London

I love Asian food and I am a fussy eater so I don't give places 5* unless they earned them. Pho really did it tonight : the restaurant is clean and spacious, the staff is efficient and friendly and the food is really good. I ordered Vermicelli Noodles with Tofu and Mushrooms served with a Spring Roll. I had no idea what to expect because it was my first time in this Restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised :my main arrived in a bowl with a side of dark soy sauce. The dish was full of fresh soybean, salad and noodles topped with light and fluffy tofu squares and bottom mushrooms. I am starting to appreciate chopsticks more and more, I find that they help me slowing down and enjoy the food, I am normally rushing through it because I am so used to eat quickly during my break. My glass of coconut water and pineapple was refreshing and cooling, actually my meal was not spicy but I could have matched the same drink with a curry or a stir fry. The place is extremely popular and we were given a 1.5 hour slot (being a Wednesday and Eat Out to Help Out) but the service was very efficient and we were not rushed in any way. Toilets were clean and tidy, obviously the Staff does check regularly despite the busy times. I will go back again and remember to take pictures, while the food is still on the table 😂

Worth mentioning that there is a separate Menu for Vegan food, 85% of the standard Menu is GF and the Staff is very knowledgeable on ingredients and they kindly offered to swap a Summer Roll (GF) because one of the dishes came with a Spring Roll. Overall great meal and atmosphere,one of my new...

I came with a friend to eat dinner. The restaurant was nearly empty and no one was sitting outside. I went inside to ask if we could sit outside and were told that was okay. 20 minutes later no one came by. We flagged down the bartender who came out to see if we were okay. We said we still needed menus and she apologised and said she would be right back. A man came out (who turned out to be the manager) with menus. He aggressively slammed them on the table and made a rude comment about us not introducing ourselves (implying that is why we were waiting for so long). My friend tried to talk to him, but he ran off and ignored her. We were so embarrassed and offended. We decided to leave. I went in to say, but the manager was no where to be found, so I told the bartender we were leaving. My friend was really upset by the encounter so called to speak to the manager about what happened. He refused to give his name and was even more rude and disrespectful on the phone. How awful and embarrassing. We love Pho, but have no interest in being humiliated and disrespected in such an unprofessional way.

Don't waste your time going there, there are much nicer restaurants in Chiswick.

An update, despite a reply from the owner with a promise to make things better, this was a lie! I emailed them as requested and they have never even responded.

Horrendous...

We popped in for lunch on a rainy Sunday. The food was very good. I'm watching what I eat so had the mushroom and tofu ramen. It was great.

Update, I visited again this week. I had the spicy salad rolls and the vegetable and tofu rice bowl with cauliflower rice - soooo delicious. I highly recommend for veggies and vegans and those on a calorie controlled diet.

Update, on my third visit it was such a disappointment!! We waited ages to order. Five minutes after ordering I was told my dish was out of stock. I'd already had to change my order once because the spicy salad rolls were out of stock too. Anyway, I quickly chose something else. Our starters came. Then my main. No sign of my partners. We asked, and told it was coming. Time ticked on. I'd finished mine and we'd asked another two times about my partners - on our third time asking we told the server we would be going soon as we had plans. It was now 7:20 and we'd been there for almost an hour. The chicken curry appeared and we said we didn't want it as we were leaving. The manager said he would take it off the bill (literally the least they could do) when the bill came, my original order and the replacement dish was on it! So we were about to be overcharged. The manager had to manually make an adjustment which again took a while.
