Rude Staff, place smelling of sewage (£7.95 for rocket, 1/2 tomato, 1 sausage and mixed brown & white stale bread
£7.95 for rocket, 1/2 tomato, 1 sausage and mixed brown & white stale bread (without my 2 eggs) Place smelled like sewage Stuff rude inconsiderate of my disability then proceeded to talk about me to her friends and laughing as if I am not there or can't see or hear them talking about me. Every time I talk to the waitress she sniggered when walking away. Ordered b&g breakfast with well done eggs The egg was served runny. When I told her, it's meant to be well done she took it with her usual rudeness. Usual previous behaviour done again. Brought back flipped over but still runny in the middle. Showed her and she stated you need to ask for well well done eggs. I didn't realise I was having a steak. So I asked her to remove the eggs The joke was I was still charged full price with a dose of attitude again considering I never had my eggs The shocking part was staffed just continued talking to their friends instead of concentrating on customer service, singing loudly like it's a club, phone browsing and even a friend got up and twerked to a tune before leaving. I was shocked and speechless. Thank God, my client had just left before he did that. loved the place the 1st time I came there but after today's experience I know I will never go back or bring a client there again. If I could give it 0 today I would. Shame on the staff for spoiling a lovely place and creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for their clients. I guess they don't need...
Read moreWent here with a group of six adults and four children. Great little atmospheric and quirky place but unfortunately the highly variable service and food quality let it down. Some of the food was great and some of the service was about standard which would have been ok. However some of the service was terrible and the same for the food. Examples being; meals coming out irregularly with some in the party finishing theirs before others even turned up, and people on other tables getting their food despite only having just ordered (and it wasn't because of the type of meal ordered, just seemed very unorganised) . Also the kids ham sandwich was shocking - I wish Google would let me post a photo - it was literally one slice of stale bread folded over, no butter or margarine, and a tiny piece of ham. I wouldn't have fed it to my dog never mind my child and needless to say it went back. Also a salad that was ordered came out with half of the ingredients missing. That went back too and came back again missing bits but by that point I gave up and ate...
Read moreThis is an overly busy cafe at all times so not especially suited to people with autism. It's really the cafe for the commuters. However, they do some EXCEPTIONAL things in the cafe itself, the food is second to non and they have lots of specialities. I wold not overall describe this cafe as wheelchair accessible, though can get a wheelchair in there 'technically' and the staff will be willing to accommodate you but they are also completely run off their feet. If you are using a wheelchair I recommend finding a seat near the door and then getting someone else to order for you as they run the shop at a very fast pace and the counter isn't exceptionally hight but has lots of things on it and the servers are far away from the customers so often have to lean over. For the same reasons if you have autism I would get someone else to order for you. I DO think this cafe is worth a visit whatever your obstacles however, because the food, cakes and drinks...
