Got bored of waiting in the TOAD line so came here instead. I loved this place! Thought the whole vibe of it was super unusual but very cool. The sandwiches were delicious - I would say the UK doesn’t do sandwiches that well in general but this is an exception. I got the turkey kale ceaser sub, which was fantastic - stuffed full of turkey, a delicious sauce and I loved the addition of the kale. If I had to critique it, I would say I would’ve liked it to included more kale to balance out the kale:turkey ratio better, as the turkey can be quite heavy/rich. I thought the addition of pickled onions was clever - their tanginess really lifted the sandwich. I also tried one of the potato latkes - it was very greasy but so deliciously moorish - seasoned to perfection! If you’re feeling like being unhealthy definitely order one of those on the side. The burger style wrapper was nice touch. I took the fishfinger sandwich but it was very disappointing. My expectations of trying the best fishfinger sandwich I would ever eat from an hottest new culinary addition to London (which is what some reviewers say) fell well short. The bread would've been better being white and toasted as it crumbled under the peas and sauce and took away from the fishmongers themselves. Might try something else there in...

Had two sandwiches - the Mondo Frango, a delicious Peri Peri chicken thigh sub, and their counter sandwich, the Muffuleta. Both were great and writing this six hours later, I am still stuffed. Had the Caesar salad as well which was tasty, if slightly small for £4 (but that's nitpicking tbh!).
The ambience is cool, great decor and music and the team seem engaged and enjoying themselves.
Visited in the dead of autumn, so the outside area was for the brave but this will be super nice in the summer. They are opening as a bar and it's a nice little addition to this area.
Well done team Mondo. You've smashed it and...
