Cafe ChiBo — Restaurant in London

Relaxed atmosphere, a polite service but abysmal food portions for the money you spend. I ordered 2 x egg royales which comes with salmon on top of half a slice of artisian bread but i think they split our salmon slices between us to a point they were paper thin and was devoured in 1 mouthful which for £11.50 was not worth it at all. I understand the need to make a profit but that was ridiculous and once we had finished I did tell them as they asked how the food was to which they had no response apart from a grin on their faces. Their coffee drinks were nice but I would not dine here again as it was poor value for money and i left there feeling scammed to be honest. In total i somehow spent £42 for me my partner and my 1 year old child. My child had sweet potatoe fries. Cafe Chibo (my instagram review @almost_vegan)

A cute small local cafe in Hendon, church road. It's near Middlesex university and has a number of vegan breakfast and lunch options. (NW44EB)

I had the vegan breakfast for an early lunch as I'm working from home today. I've got lots to get on with so ordered via deliveroo!

All the elements were lovely. The Sausages were kind of mashed potato filled with vegetables and fried which I really liked as personally I do get fed up of fake meat sometimes and they were very crispy on the outside. I maybe would have liked some fried mushrooms too if I'm being veryy picky but I would definitely order from here again. It cost £14.95 but it was huge so fair enough! They also do vegan sandwiches which look nice for about £7.

My only issue is that they have a 3* hygiene rating. But friends recommended it and I had no issues so I don't know what happened for them to get that but I think they should get...

I cannot recommend cafechibo highly enough. I have worked in Hendon for 15 years and this place is hands down by far the best coffee in Hendon and surrounding areas (and I've checked out pretty much every source of caffeine available NW4 and NW9).

Not only does chibo take gold in terms of coffee but they also serve up the tastiest omelettes around town. Their breakfasts are delightful and I consider myself a food snob! The menu caters for veg, vegan and halal and they change it up regularly - I recently tried one of their specials: Aubergine with minced beef which was so good i've had to try and copy their recipe at home.

You will not be disappointed with anything they serve up, they have very high standards here and i cannot say enough about the friendly and engaging service. Every single time I visit i get the warmest and friendliest reception.
