I was there on Saturday night 29 July 2023, I had fun but will not be going back because of negative energy from the mean girls jelous of other beautiful girls.
The was a girl who said to me I was beautiful when I first walked inside venue.I later saw this girl go inside the bar to get a drink. she also seem to know the security staff and bar staff.
I saw her standing alone and I went to dance with her because I hate to see people standing or dancing alone and I like to make people happy enjoy life not that deep. She was looking missable standing alone and I felt sorry for her and I asked her to join me and my boyfriend for dance not that deep is socialising,
This girl who said beautiful to my face behind my back was making fun of me to her friends coping all my dance moves and laughing and the people she was with one of the girl touched my her without my permission and also making fun of my beautiful hair. Also later on this mean jelous girls started putting beer glasses next to me dangerously, I was too happy to focus on negative energy I just moved the glasses aside.
Sorry girls I am beautiful not my fault , I know I look like princess , barbie and beauty queen. You tried to kill my joy and failed I had a good night, I did not focus your negative energy. My boyfriend gorgeous as well so l get the jelous as well 2 beautiful people enjoying life , some people do not want to see other people happy. Not that it matters my boyfriend and I beutiful inside and out.
Girls get therapy , jelous is mentally illness.
I would have love to come back maybe next time the will be less mean girls. So sad that they waisted their night watching me, I do recommend this venue but if your pretty girl like me be careful the bullies will be trying to kill your joy because you shine like a super star and all eyes on you.
Karma is real , you girls going out to be mean and bullies .
Good venue and staff professional, shame about the that girl that seem to have access inside the bar bringing negative energy because of her jelous and low self-esteem.
I know myself most venues like me als use my photos to advertise their venues because I shave positive energy, good dancer and beautiful , friends but sometimes being nice get me no were because are angry and hate their life and try to take their frustration on me.
I know nothing wrong with me , people stop the hate work on your glow up, look good be happy...
Read moreI used to come to Claddagh Ring a few times per week some years ago. Spent lots of money over countless nights and never regretted going there. It was around the time when cigarette machines were about to be phased out from public places. I met my future wife there who worked at Claddagh Ring at the time. Once we’ve moved away from the area we would often go back to the place and spend some quality time. Often we would invite number friends to join us for the night. On one night we’ve even invited the bar staff to spend a night im a bar in Holborn one night after the closing time! The tradition lasted until one night I was personally targeted by one of the bouncers. As we were all having fun dancing in the middle of the dance floor to the tune of a live band playing, I was suddenly grabbed by my throat and put in head lock from behind. I had absolutely no idea what was happening. Tye attack came unexpected and with lots of force. I was literarily carried with my neck clenched all the way to the side entrance, followed by my wife and our shocked companions. Outside I was realeased and accused of… bouncing into a bouncer while dancing, as he claimed he was standing in the midst of the jumping crowd. That was quickly dimissed as a lie by my some random people who also follwed us outside and by our friends who saw exactly what happened. They stated that the bouncer had rushed into the crowd directly towards me and grabbed me from behind, without any provocation from me, which was exactly as I remembered it. He had me as his target. It was clear that upon the statements from various people the other, older bouncers, have quickly realised that their colleague was lying, but in the spirit of solidarity they asked us to leave and reluctantly apologised to me. Most regretfully no one from management had reacted. Video surveilance was not reviewed, despite my clear request. We have never returned to Claddagh Ring again and we don’t intend to ever go back there again. It was, however, a highly shocking and unexpected experience from the staff at a place which we’ve treated as special to us for many years. Now, the incident happened more than 10 years ago, so I don’t believe the feral bouncer still works there, but the disgust remained. The problem lied not only with the aggressive bouncer, but mainly with the management who...
Read moreThis is probably the most happening pub in Hendon, apart from The Hendon. I feel like because so many pubs in the local area have closed down over the last 10 years it may well be because of this beast of a pub.
The location is great, especially for students at the uni, it regularly has events going on, sports or quizzes etc. The upper rooms are hire-able and the place is very large.
At night time they clear the floor of tables and it becomes a full on nightclub - I've no idea how the residents stand this thing, but it's still standing so I guess no one ever complaints, but it's jumping!
There is a queue out the door most weekends, and it does charge for entry after about 9pm/10pm, but the numbers don't lie, it's proper popular.
The food is hearty pub fare, nothing amazing, but it's filling. The drinks are a bit higher than you'd expect but they aren't too bad.
The interior and overall feel of it tries to replicate that of an Irish pub, and I mean the staff are Irish so that's a bonus, but man it feels corporate and nothing like a quaint Irish place you'd hope for. It's definitely a functional, versatile place, from eating/drinking areas out front where you can have a Sunday roast to a nightclub at night, or a stag do or wedding reception or others upstairs.
The owners of this place know how to utilize it, and that's probably why it's survived whilst all its competitors have slowly closed down.
To be fair it probably supports all the fried chicken shops in the local area, the one opposite must rake it in, as does the off licence also.
Are there better pubs? Absolutely, this isn't a destination, but if you're passing by and just want a pub, go to this giant. If you want a pub with soul and unique charm and character, try the Greyhound behind, that's a proper classic pub with charm - plus it isn't on the main road so it's nice and quiet when you're outside.
If the Claddagh had a nice beer garden in the back and the front was a car park -...
