The worst customer service im all my life (at age 34), after going to kebab shops for 20 years regularly.

So where do I begin!

Firstly, when I placed my order of chips and cheese with a donor kebab, the guy looked at me like I was an idiot, and suggested getting just donner meat with chips and cheese all in one box. Fair enough, I thought, and said "yes". Only when eating it did I realise there was no salad involved, which is actually the main attraction to me nowadays as middle aged guy. No pitta bread either!

Then, when trying to communicate to the guy several times, by saying "I'll wait outside and smoke a cigarette", "thank you" and "bye", the latter two phrases in Turkish as a way of building rapport, and showing respect for the culture. Irrespective of whether he was Turkish or not, I'm surprised by the fact that he didn't even acknowledge the attempt, or try to correct me. Rather, just a look of absolute contempt, akin to his demeanor towards me from the moment I entered. I real sense of disdain, hatred, possibly something about my appearance had triggered it! I got the real sense that if serving me weren't enshrined in business law, he wouldn't have done.

Food was warm, not hot, and for £10, not near enough chips or meat.

I never leave reviews, very very rarely I do so, only when I am left feeling extremely happy or extremely unhappy with service. But I feel its my duty in this case, to ensure bad business is avoided by other like-minded individuals in future.

Honestly, go...

UPDATED 08 JUNE 2019 TO ADDRESS 'FEEDBACK':

So someone appears to have decided to reply. Let's straighten a few things out, shall we?

One: you are not WELL-KNOWN for 'our decent size portions and ingredients'. That is an OPINION, which is YOUR OPINION. Do NOT make fatuous generalised statements online because that is not how reviews work. Certainly not on THIS website.

Two: Sorry, pal, but you DID try to charge me seven pounds fifty? And then dropped this to seven as stated. I do not know where you are getting '6.50' from because that is not true.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

Overpriced, not particularly fair portions.

Stopped in here because I really, really wanted some decent spaghetti bolognese.

Having been ripped off in various places on borough's high street (the moroccan joint, 'tas', and so on) i thought i should try this place just to see how high they jack their prices. Not disappointed.

After waiting for seven minutes a brown paper bag comes out of the kitchen and old bloke behind the counter pipes up with 'SEVEN FIFTY YEH'.

Charge a REASONABLE price - no sane punter working in Hospitality is going to ask ANYTHING like SEVEN FIFTY for a (small) portion of spaghetti. With about a teaspoon of mince thrown at it. For five bucks i'd have put up with it.

Oh yes, when i nearly choked on my tenner after hearing the price, suddenly it dropped to seven bucks with a big greasy smile. Like: 'i know i'm ripping you off son and so do you but hey ho, what are you going to...

the food was nice but the service was bad I wanted to share the kebab with my mum half and half as you do and the man said its only as big as the regular so he added more as an act of kindness which we didn't really ask him to do but we appreciated it then made a whole meal of with a negative attitude saying the kebab don't come like his whole attitude was like get out don't come back also to add more insult when my mum wanted to pay with card looked at her like she was a gonna run out of the bill or her card would decline like we are skint I think it's shameful honestly..... I see why the place is empty, not friendly and rather rude. I suggest they work on their customer service skills in the near future. I can say I will not be a repeat customer here.... and I would recommend it to...

A true British fry up in town that serves a filling and delicious breakfast. Ordered the mini breakfast and a latte here, both of which were well prepared. Very tasty and the eggs are made just right (a little cooked, a little runny). The sausage patty tastes fresh and the mushrooms are crisp. All of this was less than £10, which is an amazing price in London. The restaurant itself is rather small, and can be cramped when it’s packed. Service is excellent, food is served quick and can be made to your taste. Definitely check this one out if you’re looking for a hot and filling breakfast in London.

Throwback to some memorable food galore cos I left my heart at the London Bridge. 😉🇬🇧 Cafe Rossi 57 Borough High St, London SE1 1NE, United Kingdom ✅Cafe Rossi is a small, cosy eatery that sells halal kebabs, wraps and burgers. ✳️I had a Chicken Doner with salad, chips and Pita Bread for £10. The serving was huge! ❇️The cappuccino was smooth and creamy. Me likey. 😍 #tiramisoooo #tiramisoooojiaks #caferossi #foodinlondon #halalfoodinlondon #boroughstreetmarket #chickendoner #pitabread #kebab

Love their sandwiches! A wide selection, you'd be better off going here than to pret or anywhere like that because they have so many more options and they make them to order. staff is helpful and friendly, it does get busy so if theyre a bit brash, its not personal! i haven't tried any of the hot food, looks alright, i tend to go for the sandwiches! nice for breakfast or lunch
