I had the most appalling experience in this Cafe today. Your barista called Gina (to describe her; she is Caucasian with dark straight hair working today at about 5:00pm, date 09.07.25) delivered such a horrendous service to me and my partner only because she had forgotten to ask my milk preference for my Iced Matcha. She said, “We can’t ask everyone the milk preference for the whole day!” in a very arrogant, rude and unprofessional tone. This particular Barista lacked professionalism by not asking milk preference; what if a customer has nut allergy and in my case I don’t consume dairy. She asked me to pay for it which I have done with no argument.

That evening of Thursday the 9th of July, my partner and I could not help but discuss again about the mentioned encounter in Cafe Nero and he told me that he was asked surprisingly of his milk preference. No wonder why I still feel quite hurt because I am a lady with colour and (I did not see it at that time it was happening as my world is diverse; I am an educator, a regular of this branch wanting to relax at the end of the day) and in an interracial relationship as my partner is Caucasian with British accent, when my partner intervened and said, “It would only take you two seconds to ask…” your barista listened but as soon as I joined the conversation she did not listen and started to shout at me. I was treated differently in a way that it is discriminatory. I believe, this is not only classed as unprofessionalism, and lacking training but racism too which is very serious.

She evidently do NOT enjoy her job and she vents out on her customers if she makes mistakes instead of asking for an apology which is the most professional thing to do. I am very unimpressed and shocked that this particular person works in a customer service because she was so aggressive and shouting at me that she was going to explode her head off. This is a bad representation of the company, Cafe Nero, as she kept insisting and shouting that she would not want to ask milk preference. She presented herself as unprofessional and lacking training. When I mentioned training, she argued again and said, “training?” So, I added instead of being defensive, “You should be asking for apology.”

I am shocked that Caffe Nero would employ a barista with a horrendous customer services.

I go to Caffes and restaurants to be treated well by the staff not to be shouted at especially because I am a paying customer.

Avoid this cafe...

I always liked the way the interior looked like, conpared to the other Caffés in Edgware, they kept that vintage café look instead of going modern.

Today was the first time I actually stopped to get a coffe (regular cafe late) and a pain au chocolate, and I must say, staying there for 40 minutes waiting for a possible employer to come and interview me, only to find out that he cannot make it anymore, I did enjoy the coffe, even when it got cold inevitably, since not wanting to have to buy a second one during the interview, I just sipped at slowly from time to time. Fortunately, I had a book on me, so I got to enjoy the atmosphere quite a lot while reading.

The staff was friends and very efficient, the lady in front of me hasn't finished giving her order when I was already paying for mine - they really don't wait around.

Will come again, on Thursday to be more precise, as that's for when the guy rescheduled our interview, hopefully I'll enjoy some warm coffe this...

I was very disappointed with the service, I go here regularly. Many times, during hot days, they run out of ice because they say thier ice machine is slow. But I never complained just walked away and try agian. I was there on Friday 8th of August at 3.30pm there was no one in the queue and there were two staff behind the counter. I asked for my iced latte with pistachio to be stirred for me, the junior was about to do it and the (so called) senior barista said no, you can do it your self at the self-service counter. She was totally rude and obnoxious and refused to give me her name to complain, she had a ring in her nose, she said the manger will know who she is by the date and time. Absolutely disgusted with this type of behaviour talking to a customer in such rude way. She had the cheek to say "we are busy" until I pointed out there are no customers waiting and very few...

Not one for leaving bad reviews as the day before yesterday I had a good experience but yesterday my wife had ordered a strawberry matcha drink and it tasted too sweet (like strawberry milk) could barely taste matcha. She kindly went up to the 2 south Asian baristas with 0 attitude and asked if she could exchange it for the regular matcha. They said no as that’s what she had ordered now I understand that but the issue is the patronising no they had given her especially the taller fairer skinned one. Given we had spent £40 feel like she could have been treated a bit more nicer. Read other reviews and apparently I’m not the only one met with unprofessional behaviour.

. REVISITED - neglected and run-down. Grubby and tatty now settling in as the default setting. The pastry/cake display/selection ( as per my photograph) was risible. Pathetic. Service indifferent and mechanical though the coffee remains adequately acceptable. This branch might just be Cafe Nero’s cafe zero

Italian style Cafe, we ordered Latte & mango and passion fruit juice, Coffee was good, Juice is not. Service was good and the staff were nice, atmosphere is great, suits working on laptops, reading, and group gathering.
