AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU DONâT WANT TO GET CHARGED TWICE THE PRICES!!
Thought of stopping by to get some PapanaÈi, as I had dinner at the pub and was fancying something for dessert. Went straight to order for take away and when I saw itâs 9.60ÂŁ for a portion, Iâve decided to just check their menu prices, as something was clearly not right. As everyone can see in both pictures, what you get on your bill is different (itâs actually almost double) than the menu prices. And there is no VAT or any other tax to justify the difference, as you can clearly see the price without VAT is still much bigger than the 5ÂŁ advertised in the menu. There is no excuse for their practice, as if you browse through the reviews, there are other people complaining about the same thing over and over again. This is pure greed from a lying business owner. I hope your business will close for what youâre doing! You WILL be reported!
Later edit: youâve told me to âcheck the price in the menu before you orderâ and I just told you I just did. What do you think the 2nd photo is??? Thatâs still YOUR MENU! Itâs YOUR fault if the price is not updated anymore, not the clientâs. Plus, thereâs an extremely suspicious situation why youâre not updating your prices if youâre aware of this, as youâve tried charging other customers higher prices and when confronted youâve reimbursed them the money, so this is clearly a scam youâre running on purpose. Shame on you! I hope more people read the...
Read moreMy partner is Romanian and I've been to Romania a few times, and also tasted really good home cooked Romanian food. My review is coloured by this, I suppose. It's a Romanian restaurant. There is a smattering of British favourites on the extensive menu, but the food is primarily Romanian. This is what you would come here for. The service was okay. There was a single woman waiting on all tables. The restaurant was about half full, and the waitress struggled to keep up with customer demands, so we had to wait a bit for our orders to be taken. The food to my mind was just below okay. There was also quite an odd atmosphere, with several male Romanian repeat customers (expats I presume) watching the other non-Romanian customers closely. There was also live music, but they stayed out playing so loudly we couldn't hear ourselves think. The waitress kindly asked them to turn it down and they did. All in all not a great experience. If you are a Romanian expat it's probably a good place to meet other expats, bit if you're after tasting some good Romanian food in a relaxed setting I would look for...
