This restaurant is located on Spring Grove Road, Hounslow. It is an Indian restaurant. On the evening of the 21st September, my family and I were invited to attend my freind's, son's, 1st Birthday party. Parking for this venue can be done outside the restaurant, but be warned there are parking bays, and you have to pay. To be honest I did not check the times of these bays. So I am unable to tell you if its free parking after a certain time. We managed to find parking on a side road. But again be warned not to block a driveway, and make sure your car is parked correctly or else there is a high prospect of incurring a parking ticket, as my freind found out, when he returned to his vehicle later in the evening. But on with the restaurant review. Most restaurants have 2 floors. The main being for people coming to enjoy a meal, whilst the upper floor, would be used for parties, private functions, and other celebratory events. But Charisma only has one floor. To have a party here, you would have to book the entire restaurant. As was the case here. It is not too spacious, but adequate enough. Once the drinks had started to flow, the starters began. And I must admit, they were excellent. Cooked very well, and presented in equal form. There was fish, chicken, aloo tikki, kebabs. All very tasty, and cooked the way it should be. I would say everybody enjoyed thoroughly. A few more drinks later, we started to enjoy traditional Bhangra dancing. Dance floor was small, but did the job of allowing us to have a good dance! If you want a DJ, it comes with price of booking the restaurant as a venue. Do ask when booking. With all this dancing we then proceeded to enjoy the main meal. Various dishes made their way to the table. Daal( Lentils), chicken, lamb, rice, and naan bread. Again the food was top notch, and very tasty. Good, decent presentation, and plenty to go round. A nicely cut salad, complimented the food nicely. Dessert was traditional Indian sweet, gulab jaman( round ball, sweet, with a sweet sticky syrup) and gujrella( sweet carrot cake, Indian style) served with ice cream. Both were utterly delicious. A great night can only be enjoyed if everything is in harmony. The setting, the atmosphere, music and of course the food. And this place had it all. You may want to try it just as a night out, or use the restaurant as a function hall. Either way you will not be...
Read moreWe had the worst experience with Manjit the owner.
A private hire was not required and we told him but he charged our group booking as a private booking and ripped us off. He put a little shutter down so no public can come to his restaurant. No one goes to his restaurant anyway so he used it as an opportunity to overcharge us.
I don’t recommend. He is greedy. Be careful before agreeing anything with him
We asked staff to clean the tables and they were covering dirty tables with table cloths. Vile place with no...
