Chefs Delight — Restaurant in London

After having two drinks and trying to pay by now this does happen in certain places and politely asking where was it written there is an extra charge I was bluntly told I've just told you and there is nothing to say anywhere in the cafe just pay it, I asked to speak to the manager, a member of staff told me the person in the white shirt I was talking to was the manager, I asked him if he was and what his title was he replied nothing to do with you, after trying to talk to him and trying to determine where the extra payment was explained he came into my space and told me again I've just told you now pay your bill and f--k off out of the cafe, a member of staff in a black shirt intervened and apologies to me and spoke like the manager should have done, overall not a nice experience, would not recommend anybody going there and I will not visit again at least until I get a response from the cafe owner, will keep...

Front of house Ahmet’s aura was next-level – welcoming, smooth, and running the floor like a pro, setting the perfect vibe from the start.

The restaurant is head and shoulders above most local spots – clean, stylish décor, open windows, and beautiful glazed stoneware that makes every dish feel special.

The menu hits all the right notes: grills, burgers, pie & mash, all-day breakfasts, shakes, fish & chips, desserts, wines… everything fresh, perfectly cooked, and generous.

Watching the chefs work in sync in the open kitchen was a treat, and the service, food, and attention to detail make this place stand out.

I love this place! The staff are super warm and friendly, its clean, so reasonably priced. But most important of all is the food. Its outstanding. From your morning fry up, to a simple fresh coffee to beat any Starbucks or costa. a burger and chips to beat any of the fast food joints, to proper grilled shish kebabs, salads, paninis, lunches, even roast dinners! I dont know how they do it all and do it so well and yet so quick and tasty! The snobby stuck up herbal tea brigade who have written bad reviews should go back to forest hill or dulwich where they belong and pay £20 for basic cheese sandwich and leave sydenham to those who appreciate it.
