I recently stumbled upon this hidden gem of a café tucked away on a quiet side street, and it instantly became my new favorite spot in the city! From the moment I walked in, the cozy ambiance enveloped me—soft lighting, plush seating, and the irresistible aroma of freshly ground coffee beans wafting through the air. The baristas are true artists; my latte came with intricate foam art that was almost too beautiful to drink (but I did, and it was perfection—rich, velvety, and perfectly balanced). The menu is a delightful mix of classics and innovative twists: I opted for the avocado toast with poached eggs and a side of their house-made granola parfait, and every bite was fresh, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail—the friendly staff remembered my name on my second visit, and they even have a rotating selection of local pastries that are baked daily. Whether you're grabbing a quick espresso or lingering over brunch with friends, this café nails it every time. Affordable prices, impeccable service, and a vibe that's equal parts relaxing and invigorating. 5 stars without hesitation—do yourself a favor and...
Read moreThe food was okay—I ordered the BBQ chicken panini with chips for brunch. Unfortunately, the experience was spoiled by one staff member (possibly the manager, a middle-aged man) who was incredibly rude.
I was there to work on my laptop and planned to stay for a while, intending to order brunch, coffee, and then lunch. Just ten minutes after finishing my panini, while planning to order coffee soon, he approached us and, in a rude manner, essentially told us to leave. It seemed he assumed we were sitting around without ordering, but he didn’t ask—he just assumed. His abrupt approach was quite unpleasant. I ended up ordering just one more coffee, but because of his rudeness, we decided to go elsewhere for lunch. It’s a shame, as other staff members seemed friendly. This experience really left a bad taste and overshadowed an otherwise...
Read moreThis really is the best experience in Croydon for lunch or just a coffee anytime. The food is exceptional and the cakes delicious. Above all the staff are very helpful and friendly. The Manager is always on hand to assist with any problems and sorts it out immediately. The food arrives very promptly at the table so there is very little waiting. The restaurant is in a historic and beautiful building where natural light floods in through the glass ceiling which was first used for the central station built on that site in the 19th century. Overall a very lovely, enjoyable and restful experience, whether with friends or alone, with art covering the walls from...
