What a frustrating and annoying experience. The cafe promises a culinary delight with an array of fine looking sandwiches on show and tightly packed tables brimming with well fed looking patrons gazing over their lattes. Sadly for us it was a promise which was never delivered, as despite being sat down and offered our teas promptly after ordering, we were left for over half an hour with no food. When at last I arrived at the till to enquire whether our order was any where near completion, I was met with only bafflement from a pair of glazed eyes, which suggested it was the first time I had walked in the place. The order evidently had never been placed - even though they took our payment -and no apology or remedy to the situation was offered; instead just an utterance of 'ah it was only one ticket 'as if that would pacify my irritation or growing hunger. I had to ask for a refund myself, which was forthcoming but did not include the tea as that has been served to us shortly after we arrived. This had to be requested separately. The customer experience was really disorganised, and felt more like it took place in the school common room, negotiating a deal over the pool table, rather than in the upmarket cafe it purports to be. Oh and on the occasion before the food was nice but What arrived was only a little like...
Read moreThe best coffee shop around Islington if not in whole London. As far as their offer for brunch goes, the meals are worth every penny. Hence, they are freshly made, decorated very nicely and very healthy as well. The staff is really motivated, friendly and communicative. They really try to get everyone the best experience even if the entire store is filled with customers. Their prices might be a little bit higher than some of their competitors, however the quality of their coffee in comparison to their competition is 100% worth the difference. Especially for students working on assignments or their dissertation, the atmosphere is really relaxing for a proper study environment. I can recommend everyone to take the time and sit down to have a coffee in store and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. Definitely 5/5 stars!!! Cappuccino To-Go 9/10 /// Cappuccino In- Store 10/10 Red and...
Read moreAfter your first time you'll keep coming back. I stumbled across Coffee Zee whist researching 'best coffee shops in London to study/work from' however what I found at was much much more! From the coffees, teas, lattes, to the toasties and desserts, everything is quality. Everything tastes fresher, is full in depth and flavour. I've been to a few (a bit of an understatement) coffee shops across London, Luton, Brighton and Milton Keynes but never have I had such a flavourful experience. I'm currently going through the menu and nothing has disappointed me. Coffee Zee is a great place to try something new, grab a classic or one of your favourites. The staff and atmosphere add to the experience, leaving you feeling refreshed and recharged. I am forever grateful I found this place and whenever I'm working/studying on the go I will be...
