Lovely staff, anxious to provide good service. Unfortunately the large latte had NO taste whatsoever! (I only ordered one of that size as had a 'earned' a sufficient number of 'beans' so thus was entitled to a free drink). They replaced it but sadly no better. The man told me that a large latte has 3 shots but a cappuccino has 4. I begged him to empty some out and 'top up' with more coffee. He did and ithe drink then finally had a coffee taste, but the taste was rather 'rank'. I don't think Costa stotes generally are particularly successful in producing good lattes, I've found it 'hit and miss'. Not a very wide selection of cakes here.

This Costa outlet is beside the entrance to Woolwich Arsenal DLR station. It functions as a take-away, however there are 7 tables inside where you can eat and drink your purchases. Efficient service and very clean.

First time trying Costa coffee. We ordered hot chocolate and Choco Tifini? Not sure if it is the correct spelling but it tasted amazing. It was not too sweet and it has a crunchy texture. Staff were nice too

*Update:

Walked in on Sunday 17th March at 15:21 for a cortado. The young tall member of staff didn’t know that it must be made with full-fat milk. I’ve had to challenge him that by costa red book it has to be that milk. He agreed after a few minutes. However - they didn’t have full-fat milk, so I’ve asked for alternative full-fat milk like coconut and have been told I would be charged for that despite they don’t have the milk they should to make the drink. Costa standards have dropped to the very bottom of English Channel.

One of the worst Costa branches I have been to across the country.

Staff do not know Costa Brand Standards book at all. Not sure if they know it exists.

By default they make flatwhite with semi-skimmed or skimmed milk, when it must be full-fat, they overheat the milk making most drinks taste weird and not genuine Costa flavour. You have to ask them to put full fat milk every time in your flat-white - ridiculous! 9/10 they will tell you there is no full fat milk. All drinks I have tried there (cortado, flat white, coconut milk flatwhite) taste really bad.

The SLOWEST Costa Service you can find, especially at a station, where speed of service is critical. More than 3 people in line becomes a problem and staff cannot manage. Shop is not managed efficiently to put it softly.

When the queue is right next to the door (7-10 people) staff do not take further orders, serve people by one and instead of sorting out the long queue that needs to get to work the staff look lost, not knowing what to do - hah - they might as well just check their Facebook ! Clearly wiping the fridge comes last according to common sense when there are 10 people in queue.

I have raised this with Costa Head Office and no action or response has been taken.

People, go to boulangerie jade - it’s much better in from A-Z and local !!!...

My experience start with another customer that regularly visits the place and decide to do some medical sort of cleaning on herself, opening her package with tubes, seringues, Sterile water and God knows what more, totally unacceptable and the manager IF he takes knowledge of the action he never did nothing. Health and safety guys!!!!!!! Second issue, I simply asked for them to shake the carton of coconut milk before prepare my drink and the drama was made, the cashier said it couldn't do it because of SAFETY issue and called the manager who decide to teach us about the ingredients of the coconut milk. There's no water in the coconut milk he said, is just coconut.....please read the package...of course there's water inside and is not only coconut milk inside is mixed with soy as well. Please, prepare your staff better I worked for Costa for 4 years and those were not my standards. Couldn't drink my watery and over heated coconut latte, so after spend £14 for 2 drinks and 2 pastries I couldn't drink it and tossed in the bin. Very disappointed. Reading the reviews I can see that only the 5 stars ones are answered with the same "copy and paste" message. I expect this issue to be...

I've been there a few times and I must say the place doesn't shine for overall atmosphere and staff skills level, but today I had possibly the worst service they could offer. All I asked them was a coconut milk latte and one with regular milk. I tried to ask them if they could please shake the carton of coconut milk before pouring it into the jug as they usually don't do it even though it is specifically suggested on the carton itself in order to mix well the compost and don't end up with a watery drink. Just like with orange juice. Apparently this was too much information to process for the baristas who couldn't possibly understand my request, making the situation awkward and making a long queue form. At the end the barista who prepared the drink got probably offended and told me, quote and quote, that he knew what he was doing as he was working there for 3 years. Well, the coconut milk at the end was not shaked, the latte was more like a cappuccino, piping hot and tasting so bad that i threw it away after leaving the shop. Well done guys, thank you for the service, i will...
