Actually this really need zero star regarding customer service . Deplorable would be an understatement. Whatever happened to serving the customer with a smile, with glee and being helpful. It appears when u go to this Costa, the staff think they are doing the customer a favour! Staff member 'Meltem', wrongly given supervisor status spoke to me with arrogance. The tone of voice was authorative, refused to hear how I wanted my coffee, spoke over me & regurgitated policies about coffee making! Honestly ! She thinks she is Q head master & I am a pupil. Seems to be an abuse of power -or what she perceived as power. I told her I was unhappy with her service, especially her tone of voice. She instead of being apologetic - justified her behaviour and challenged me. I was mortified. To my shock, she in a power stance stormed from behind the counter and said 'get out of my store ' and subsequently escorted me out! Her store ? The audacity of a 20 something, immature imbecile who had no respect. The child clearly has no idea about finesse or culture and clueless about customer service. Had she been my staff member, I would have had her employment terminated on the spot! Sadly, the service was good in the past. Vernon worked there before and managed the place. Agniesceka is v good. Selected my choice of food and waiting in line when the counter girl Emilia who was serving another guest in front of me asked if I would like to have my food heated on her way to the oven from the till (she was about to heat then food of the guest in front of me). I thought I was weird as Iāve not even paid for it yet but obliged anyway. When it came to my turn and I wanted to scan the code, was told it was not applicable here, felt bad to deny purchase as my food was already in the oven reheating. Emilia also tried to multitask and tried to serve me even before finishing with the previous guest who is looking for cash, and asked me what drink I would like, to which I replied hot chocolate. She ordered it down the lane and when it was my turn, I added āwith oat milkā, whereby her colleague had already stated with dairy. If Emilia had confirmed my purchase before heating it, I would have not had the transaction and she blamed me for not reading the terms and conditions, that too in an indirect way (saying āIām amazed people donāt read the T&C before purchasingā to her colleague) right when I was collecting my drink. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a loyal customer of Costa and I go to costa everyday (near to my town in London) I got a bottle of juice one day. Even though they did not give me a receipt, I was happy to get my drink at that time. However, when I checked my payment details of my debit card yesterday on my bank application, I found something suspicious. What I paid at Costa was GBP 27.53 even though I got a bottle of juice which was around GBP 2.75! How could it happen at costa that is one of the really famous coffee brands? In fact, the fact a server of Costa in HILTON OLYMPIA paid GBP 27.53 by my card! why did he use my card to pay 10times more than the juice price? Why?!! I felt like I was robbed of my money ridiculously from Costa! Actually it looks like really sneaky robbery!
If i had not check my bank statement, I would have not known the sneaky wrong payment at all. People can make a mistake.. However, their reaction which show me was not satisfactory at all and rude on the process.
I am really disappointed and embarrassed this time with Costa even if it is my favorite coffee shop in UK. It was the worst coffee shop in terms of the service and even the action which they show me was not satisfactory at all.
