Costa Coffee — Restaurant in London

Oh how this place dropped in standards.

I am a local businessman and I used to use this Costa a lot up until the start of lockdown.

Today was my first time back since the end of covid restrictions and I was quite disappointed in seeing how the standards of service have dropped.

I went ordered a chocolate and caramel muffin and a flat white. The girl on the till reads it back as a Mocha and a flat white. I said no I ordered a muffin and a flat white. She then goes to where the muffins and instead of asking me which one I wanted, she proceeds to reach for the millionaire shortbread instead. I then reminded her that I asked for a chocolate and caramel muffin which was the muffin nearest here.

Upon picking it out finally, she then went back to the till and proceeded to ring through a flat white, the muffin and a Mocha.....I said to her for the 2nd time no Mocha. Finally she got my order right

Then when I was waiting on my flat white, her more experienced colleague makes up a drink and put it into a 2 cup holder ( which I later find out is my flat white) and then asks I want chocolate sprinkles on the Mocha...I was like I didn't order a Mocha at all I ordered a flat white only whereupon she gave me the drink that was sitting in the cup holder for the last couple of minutes.

I swear judging from the amount of times I had a Mocha which I didn't order or want forced on me, the staff must have a Mocha addiction or they must be on commission for selling Mochas this month.

Overall this has left me with a bad experience and will not be returning...

Been coming in here for over 10 years now and can honestly say today is the last day I'll ever return. They have had no semi skimmed milk for the past 3 days never known anything like it. Never had this issue in other franchises up and down the country. The shop it tired and always looks dirty and no one in there seems to care anymore and clearly nor do the owners. I’ve been coming to this costa for years and you go through a lot of staff. The lad who’s name badge says fahim you should keep this lad. It’s very refreshing to have great customer service always a smile, kind and very polite and hard working… I’ve seen him open the doors for disabled people. And make your orders exactly how you ask for it. And I’ve seen him helping his colleagues too. I’m not one for leaving reviews but I don’t want to see this lad go best I’ve seen in...
