I am still in shock ! I very rarely put a bad review but this is by far the worst experience i have had in a restaurant. Just payed 42£ to get told off by the owner as the kids were waiting to be served and were rightly getting impatient while the waitress keep in getting orders wrong and yes, kid are kids , their voices being higher than an adult , and the pillows which don’t fit their bench, kept falling off - The Waitress was already on the edge and rude as we arrived before even ordering- and already started telling other children on other table off. Our table had 4 young kids . The owner completely lost his cool became aggressive with us in front of the kids saying we had no respect for his business over some pillows on the floor as the kids were not sitting completely still. Completely unacceptable! Not even a gentle warning aside prior to the agressive reaction ! He just basically lost his temper on 1 parent - 1 nanny and 4 young kids. They should have a NO children policy if they do not handle parents with young kids. A 3 year old not being able to sit still is definitively unwelcome ! Shame we came so many time but we won’t come back. This is our last and wouldn’t recommend to any parents with young children.
On the back of your response, I am still shock that you still felt it was ok to shout at a 3 years old and 6 years old kids. Clearly offloading a bad day for you. Blame yourself for doing this. It is totally shameful of you. We came to eat many time and this is disappointing of you as an adult and owner to have not managed to keep your calm and talk to us on the side instead of shouting aggressively at young kids straight away. I think a lot of parents would relate to that and wouldn’t accept the chef to shout at their kids. You are the adult yourself in the first place. No one felt it was anyone extended living room. They were waiting patiently until your orders came up wrong because your waitress who was rude all along , wasn’t writing down anything. Therefore hungry children might get agitated and impatient. Parents might rightly feel nervous to come to eat at your place with young children going forward. And especially With your response where you are having no remorse of doing this to us show the real side of the personality you have. Blame yourself for this !
LAST UPDATE : Interestingly his response was removed. Says it all really ! I still received no apologies...

Staff is still tremendously friendly and striving and the mood is absolutely welcoming. I had to ask for some changes to the dish due to dietary requirements and I could do so absolutely fuzz free – highly appreciated!! The dishes are an indulgence. Rich in flavour, perfect texture, a generous helping and high quality ingredients prepared fresh from scratch. I hope I can go back more often as this place offers such delicious treasures. Compliments to kitchen and service staff!
10/2018 Crêpes à la carte is a lovely little restaurant serving incredibly delicious Galettes (savory dish) and Crêpes (sweets). They use high-quality organic ingredients and the dishes are prepared freshly and served appealingly. I've had a sweet Galette and the portion size was just right for a sweet treat with a nice balance between filling and crepe. They serve a fair amount of different savory and sweet options covering a range of flavours. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting to spend some quality time after enjoying one's meal: friendly and attentive waiters, a well-lit room and the choice (and volume!) of music enable to have a conversation. The room at the lower level is spacious and furnished equally friendly. Being intolerant to gluten as well as lactose I highly appreciate that the Galette dough (made from buckwheat flour) can be chosen alternatively to the original crepe dough on all sweet dishes. I'll definately come back to try some of the other...
Read moreFANTASTIC! I’m addicted. Had the lemon and sugar crepe. Can’t believe something so simple can be so divine. It’s otherworldly. Going back today for a savoury and another lemon and sugar crepe! You HAVE to eat here. You will become addicted like me. What’s even more fantastic is the eggs are organic so NO hormones and antibiotic infested eggs! The buckwheat is divine and is it butter I tasted? Don’t know what they fry em in but it’s a lovely taste. Beautiful crepes.
UPDATED: The savoury spicy crepe is to die for. Soft Brie, fresh mushrooms, fresh rocket and spicy chilli sauce with a perfect organic egg in the centre. What a stunning medley of favours. The Brie hits the palate then the mushroom fills your mouth and then you get a kick of spice and rocket. It’s quite a stunning trip. BUT what made me die and go to heaven was the buttered sugared crepe. Apparently a French classic. What hits you first is the stunning smell. Then The soft layers of the crepe melt into your mouth with a taste of butter and dusted sugar. It’s PERFECTION. I literally had my eyes closed throughout eating this one and took my time with each bite. Can’t wait to go back for MORE! can’t recommend this enough! You have not loved if you have not had a crepe from Crepes a la carte. Fabulous, helpful, friendly service is the icing...
