I visited Dehliwala recently and drove nearly 1 hour to order food at this place. I attempted to order my food from the menu and the staff (lady) taking my order was very rude and inconsiderate. Following my order she became irritated with me for ordering Hakka noodles (which is on the menu) and abruptly informed me that it would take 45 minutes to prepare (her body language indicated as if I had caused her a massive inconvenience and was as if I had asked her to sprinkle 24 carat diamonds over the noodles). I was quite surprised by her rude behaviour but ignored it and as I had travelled so far to eat at this restaurant agreed to wait. The lady offered no explanation or apology as to why the noodles would take so long to prepare.
The lady ignored me without even taking any payment or confirming the order and began to serve another customer. Which really upset me and made me feel like I was being discriminated against.
Shortly after another lady came and when heard that I had ordered hakka noodles also behaved as if I had just ordered the world and moon (When in fact I'm ordering from the menu!) and proceeded to tell me that it would now take 2 hours to make and again offered no explanation to why this was the case or apology.
It was clear to me that they were attempting to create an inconvenience that would mean I would cancel my order of Hakka noodles (without the sprinkled diamonds of course but certainly with extra spice).
At this point I was quite upset at the way I was being treated as if I wasn't even standing there and being ignored.
Due to how upset I was I decided to leave.
It is unfortunate that the ladies taking my order behaved like this especially as I had travelled quite a long distance just to order from the restaurant.
I hope in the future they are more considerate of their customers and offer apology and explanations if certain dishes are unavailable as opposed to making customers feel as though they are an inconvenience (especially when I'm ordering off...
Read moreI am shocked and dismayed by my experience at this restaurant last night and it seems surreal that my experience actually occurred. I ordered Pilau rice and was given a Vegetable Biriyani by the waiter who was less than attentive as I very clearly stated that I wanted a Pilau Rice. When I asked the waiter to change it as THEY had made a mistake, he said that I would need to pay for the Biriyani as they had already made it. I refused this and requested to speak with the Manager. Giving a Managers title, I would presume that the Manager would fix and defuse any given situation with ease; I mean its what a Manager is paid to do.The Manager was even more hostile and began shouting at me in front of all customers saying that we would need to pay for the dish that THEY had mistakenly given. He began to become so aggressive and started throwing menus and tissues on the floor with rage and anger and his face went Red. As a woman, I feared for my safety at this point and was scared that the Manager would physically attack me next. He then proceeded to tell me to get out of his restaurant as they didn't need customers like me. Ironically, customers "like me" pay his salary. I felt so scared with this dominant male figure shouting at me and throwing things around me that I even considered calling the police at one point because it was so scary. Regardless of this situation, the food was very bland, cold and truly lacked any flavour. I would never ever return to this retaurant and would certainly never recommend it to anyone. I can think of hundreds of better places to...
Read moreWorst experience I had today. It’s my first time visiting to this restaurant, I won’t recommend at all. I have ordered vegetable Samosa she (with brown top & short lady) was giving me which is in counter, I asked is it hot!! She said NO then I said I don’t want. I said one of her colleague was gave hot vegetable Samosa from inside. She tried to sell the old stuff to me, she got from inside but it was not which I have asked she gave another Samosa’s. Then I have ordered 3 pieces of rasmalai & 3 pieces of rasgulla, there was not enough gravy (sweet water), I’m just asking the lady who served to me, will you eat like this!!!! Definitely NO, then how should you serve to guest.
Finally! I have asked the bill and she gave me the card machine receipt, I said can you please give me the bill then she started writing on her on instead of giving the computer bill. Total I have ordered 5 things you can check in this bill which she was mentioned only 4 items bill that to it’s not correct amount. I have paid £11.70 total, for 4 items it’s £11.66 then she is giving back 4p change I said please keep with you. She just tried to manage the bill on her own but she can’t. I’m just asking how do you mislead a customer like this??? Sweets are tremendous but I didn’t like at all what she had done with me. Please don’t mislead the customers with manual bills, if you are giving the manual bills please give with...
