I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding the lack of proper food regulations concerning the excessive use of oil in restaurant and packaged foods. Recently, I consumed a meal that was so overwhelmingly greasy that it made me physically ill, leading to severe stomach discomfort and multiple trips to the bathroom. This unpleasant experience not only disrupted my day but also raised serious questions about the standards—or lack thereof—that are being enforced to ensure consumer health and safety. It is unacceptable that food establishments are allowed to serve meals drenched in oil without any accountability or consideration for the potential health consequences. Excessive oil consumption is linked to numerous health risks, including heart disease, obesity, and digestive issues, and yet it seems that there are no clear limits or routine checks in place to regulate the amount of oil used in food preparation. I urge the relevant authorities to take immediate action by implementing stricter guidelines and conducting regular inspections to ensure that the food served to the public meets basic nutritional and safety standards. No one should have to suffer physical discomfort or risk long-term health problems simply because they chose to eat out or buy a ready-made meal. And more over i have work(or)shift tomorrow in the morning if i have any serious illness or because of that if have trouble i will definitely file a case to food safety (EHO)

I recently had a highly disappointing experience at dixy chicken opposite of barking station. I ordered a cheeseburger, and after taking the first bite, I realized it was burnt to the point that I could smell the charring. When I approached the staff at the till to explain the situation, their response was not only dismissive but also aggressive. The staff member insisted that this was the burger I ordered and attributed the issue to the cooker, showing no intention of rectifying the problem. When I mentioned that this was my first time having a burger, his response was unhelpful and dismissive. Frustrated, I told him he deserved the two pounds I had spent on the burger and threw it in the bin right in front of him. The level of customer service I experienced was appalling, aggressive, and abusive. This is unacceptable and has left me with a very negative impression of your establishment.

Ordered online. I was impressed because I was able to have a burger without a bun with no mess. Believe me or not it is important when you don’t eat carbs. Majority of the mass known restaurants offer no bun option but it is always messed and disgusting to eat. Well done Dixy I have enjoyed my burger even tho I have taken bun off and chicken was nice. Delivered quick and with sauces. Consider keto friendly - carbohydrate free options in the menu and you will hit the roof 😁

If you are visiting Barking and don't mind having food poisoning and/or diarrhea, give it a try. It's convenient as it is close to the station and has good chips.

Every time I buy some wings here (since maybe 3 years ago), I always (and I'm not exaggerating) have stomach problems the day after. I don't buy here often but when I do, man it hurts. At first I was in denial cause I like wings and it's so convenient to buy as you go home or as you're waiting for the bus. Also, I rarely get fried wings so it's a nice treat. But every damn time, my stomach acts up. It has been like this for maybe 2 to 3 years. At first, I was like eh it was nothing, maybe it's a bad batch. But it is consistently a bad batch.

On top of the most probably recycled-to-the-next-day chicken (that was probably already badly stored and unhealthy caged chickens that has never seen the light of day), the prices over the years has kept going up and up and quality has gone worse and worse... And their pricing does not make sense. Imagine though, 6 wings and chips = £3 but if you buy them separately, it would amount to £2.60. They're taking the piss with price I swear, even Morleys in the south east have better prices (Morleys Lewisham does £2.50 for 6 wings and chips) and I'm sorry, they have much better quality chicken too.

AND not to mention, I don't even think they are affiliated with the actual DIXY chicken brand. If you notice, their sign and everything is like the Dixy franchise but on Google maps, they are "THE DIXY CHICKEN" which means their listed as that and not a franchise of Dixy.

Real talk though, this place is trash, idk why it's still standing, prices are ridiculous too. Sometimes they have their good days but others, you can actually taste that it's out of date if you focus through the ridiculous amount of salt on the seasoning of the chicken.

They've gotta change surely, idk how the council hasn't caught...
