Been coming to this little place since high school when my friend introduced me to their infamous “donner burgers”. Almost 15 years ago! Standards have dropped as this place was much better. Service is really poor, me and my partner often come once a fortnight for a local treat and you find dirty tables, even during covid the staff do not seem bothered. They wear masks when it chooses them. My partner asked if it was ok to eat in as the que for takeaway was outside the door, The male in the wholly hat brushed him off rudely and didn't seem bothered. My family members also eat from here so we classify ourselves as regular customers but they don’t care. Portion sizes are a hit and miss, we ordered lamb curry medium and were given a small plate with oil swimming within a few pieces of lamb.. The pakora was not fresh re heated and chewy. I get that they can get very busy, but a smile does not go a long way. I asked the main guy at the till, the hat man, to clean the table as there were oil stains, dirty plates and manly hair on the table, he seemed so annoyed at this request? He didn't wash his hands after cleaning an extremely filthy table! Come on guys, get your hygiene standards into play and a little smile can go a long way.
Delivery is also a hit and miss, they always forget items and blame us for it? really? they forgot 4 naans and we ordered two curries.
I’m giving it 4/5 perhaps it was an off day they were having but i agree with other reviews in terms of poor hygiene like why have an open uncovered curry near the till? people were walking past it and some customers were curious as to why its hidden next to the till and not within its fridge area! The guy who brought the food to our table, the only one wearing a black top with E17 logo was friendly. The rest looked like as if you had murdered their...
Read moreWELL. we actually ordered online via just eat or hungryhouse. cant remember which one as my girlfriend did it. anyway. the food arrived in reasonable time but it all went wrong there. the person delivering the food was extremely impatient and inconsiderate. he banged on the door about 20 times not giving us any time to ensure our pets were out the way etc. very, very rude. then the food. wow. it tasted like it had been frozen kitchen nightmares style and didn't really taste fresh. ive been a resident of Walthamstow for 20 years and this was my first time eating from kebabish. my number 1 choice for a takeaway is forest kebab, which is exceptional. their kebabs are delicious and taste fresh but kebabish's pathetic excuse of a kebab was frozen, somewhat dry and didn't taste the same. even their chips were quite poor, they tasted slightly undercooked and just weren't nice. BUT IT GETS WORSE.
the next day I had bad stomach cramps, and my stomach itself felt like it was doing the conga. every time I went toilet lets just say it was not pleasant for me. I was losing to sleep due to my terrible raging stomach and was to ill to attend uni the next day. it was the same the next day as I still had stomach cramps and didn't have an appetite.
for safety and health reasons DONT ORDER FROM HERE. IF YOU FANCY A KEBAB ORDER FROM FOREST KEBAB ON FOREST ROAD. BEST KEBABS EVER.
SCREW YOU KEBABISH FOR MAKING ME MISS TWO DAYS OF UNI DUE TO YOUR...
Read moreso so disappointing. i ordered for my family because i usually have their kebab rolls which are good. i ordered their chicken tikka biryani & samosas. oh my god, it was THE greasiest thing ever. the oil was literally bursting at the lid so before i even opened the lid, there was oil running throughout the whole thing. the samosas were also very thin & smelt off but again they were greasy as well so the paper bag it came in was oily to the touch. usually love a but of greasy food but there is a LIMIT! with oil prices these days, im surprised this restaurant manages to use an extreme amount. I took about 2/3 bites of the chicken tikka biryani and my mouth was filled with oil. i felt so sick. i’ve had birynani on multiple occasions & never has it tasted this bad. if you want to gain about 2000 calories from a few bites alone, then only would it make sense to get this meal. The Kofta in the Samosa smelt off & tasted like it had been reheated. We left the biryani, super confused on what to do with it since no one wants to eat it. The samosa has also been left with one bite taken out of it. The kebab roll is the only delectable thing if not a bit dry. We’ve lost our appetite however and I feel like i’m goikg to wake up with food poisoning. Genuinely think I won’t be ordering from here ever again even for the kebab...
