Will never recommend or return to this place again. Purchased a cup of tea around 11am. By 2pm I was asked to leave by the waitress, got told if I'm not purchasing anything else I can't be occupying space using the wi-fi (which they switched off lol). I switched to hotspot from my phone and was approached by the manager, dressed a chav flannel sweater, jeans and a New balance trainers insistent I leave. Being only the black guy in the cafe, sitting in a corner minding my business I didn't want to make a scene nor felt welcomed. 2025 I've purchased an item, it's mid afternoon not in peak business hours and you're switching off the WiFi to push a customer out the cafe - Crazy! A nice cafe, with reasonably priced coffee and snacks. Went in there about 4:30pm, and they were due to close at 5pm. We were reminded about 4 times that they were closing, so we were aware of when we should leave, and when it just turned 5pm and we finished our drinks, before we could get up, they came to our table and reminded us again that they were closing. We felt that were being hassled to leave, it was a shame really. We'd paid for our drinks, and didn't appreciate being rushed to leave. The staff didnt even seem like they were in a rush, and were standing around cleaning. Much like their airline counterpart, this was a disappointing experience. I don't understand how the reviews are so good. Paid £22 for 2 paninis, 2 coffees and a croissant. The food was school canteen standard and the iced coffees were so sweet. What is it with all of the single use plastic? We consumed the food and drink in the cafe yet drank out of massive plastic cups which ended up straight in the bin as there was no recycling. All the bins filled to the brim with plastic cups.
