INDIYA BAR & RESTAURANT
I visited the restaurant along with my friends with mixed feelings about the space and the ambience as I know the reality of realty at Orpington high street. When I was told that the INDIYA BAR & RESTAURANT is in Orpington- high street , I was taken aback. I have been visiting Orpington high street for quite a while now and only now I've come to know that it has 3-4 Indian restaurants.
AMBIENCE & MUSIC- It has a very contemporary ambience with music put at the right volume where one can induldge in good conversations. This certainly is a big advantage as they keep the atmosphere lively at the same time helps u talk.
DRINKS- They have the best of drinks. We tried their Signature cocktail-Indi Star Martini (vodka base) A harmonious blend of vanilla vodka, Passoa and passion fruit purée which was made with the best of liquor. The other one that we had
MENU-Menu is soo well designed that it was difficult for me to decide that what all I should eat.
I ordered ALOO TIKKI CHAAT, which is one of my favourites and i know most of you guys love that too,CHICKEN TRIO, TIGER CHILI PRAWN, CHILI GARLIC NOODLES, EGG FRIED RICE, LAAL MASS, DAL MAKHANI,CHICKEN THAI CURRY RED, CHILI GARLIC NAAN.
ALOO TIKKI CHAAT- And when you have such amazing TIKKI then all other things tastes amazing. Bed of soft and tasty Chana and nicely fried aloo TIKKI with tangy, sweet and spicy chutney- perfect for a good meal and nicely cooked and crispy.
CHICKEN TRIO :- was smoky and juicy chicken perfectly marinated with three different flavors, amazing taste with good presentation, CHICKEN ON BAMBOO LEAF..LOOKS!!amazing.
TIGER CHILI PRAWN:- You have to try the tiger chili prawn here. I've tried this dish many times in many restaurants all over the country and all and this place does it the best with amazing sauce and presentation !!! Seriously... Just order it or you're missing out!
CHILI GARLIC NOODLE CHICKEN- was tasty as well as other dishes with good quantity of vegetables chicken.
CHICKEN THAI CURRY- which was the most amazing red curry we had ever eaten. Creamy texture, tasty and a good enough portion accompanied with coconut cream.
Best of all was BUTTER CHICKEN - I Love this Desi style butter chicken with nice flavor of green cardamom which makes there butter chicken next level. LAAL MASS It was certainly the best lamb dish we have ever had, it was really amazing as per taste....OUT OF THE WORLD.
CHILI GARLIC NAAN:- was crispy as I was looking for.
DESSERT:- Must try there RAS MALAI
Food was nicely presented and hygienically Served on time.

Read moreHi Hem Pandey, I would like to clarify the reply you gave to my wife @AMBILY VP regarding our dining experience at your place. First you can at least be honest while you respond to customers reviews. If I’m not wrong we have not just ordered a platter only. We paid nearly £76 worth of food which you check in your system. We know exactly what happened, as we came in our night clothes to your restaurant, you stereotyped us as not worthy for your place. Prior to this visit, when we came in well dressed up, you even took our jacket to hung up. When we are doing the payment, your manager said “No Amex, No Amex”in a shouting way. For that only I said it’s rude to say someone who’s payment in other card. We know that your restaurant bothered about Amex’s transaction fee. Anyway at the end, your manager came out and apologised to all of us by the road while you were criticising and questioning the ladies who stood with us. This is not north India. If you don’t like thrifty South Indians you can put a board outside. Needless to say, you have nice restaurant ambience. Appreciate for at least keeping nice and tidy. One thing in customer service, don’t judge a book...
