Pato Lounge — Restaurant in London

Good food, good service and brilliant atmosphere (also dog friendly).

I've noticed the distinct lack of vegetarian options in a lot of the restaurants located in Orpington so decided to take my partner for a quick bite here as they had a lot of options and we ended up leaving extremely satisfied.

First off, I absolutely love the alternative atmosphere they have going here, lots of awesome pictures on the walls and the staff are very friendly and helpful as they take your orders personally if you have any food allergies.

We where not feeling too hungry so we ordered Hummus from the Tapas section to share which was very nice, although a spoon would have helped as the Ciabbata although very nice had a tendency to not scoop the Hummus very well.

Following the Hummus, my Partner had the ultimate chicken burger (despite normally selecting the vegetarian option and kinda the point of us coming here 😂) and I had the Steak Frites. Both meals have the choice of sweet potato fries or regular fries, both of which you can tell are handmade and very tasty.

Although I can't remember their exact comments, I could tell my partner enjoyed the burger a lot. As for myself, this steak is easily in my top 10 of the most tastiest steaks I've ever had. There wasn't anything special done to it, just a Sirloin steak served with a garlic butter. The cut of the meat combined with the cooking time (rare) and the garlic butter was all I needed from this as it was absolutely delicious. The chief nailed the timing on this perfectly and I would definitely order this again, as well as recommend it to anyone that likes their steaks.

Went to the branch in Orpington with my 2 sister-in-laws today 19th Jan for lunch. Really looking forward to the lunch as my sister in law had ventured up from Biddenden. 2 of us ordered the buttermilk chicken ciabatta and a potion of chips ( thank goodness) and the third ordered buttermilk chicken, chips and slaw + we had 3 flavoured sodas. The staff were fine and the sodas were tasty. Our lunches arrived and I was shocked to see what had been sent out of the kitchen. My sister in laws chicken was black around the edges and tough, which must be hard to achieve as the buttermilk makes the chicken really tender. We called the waiter back and he returned to the kitchen replacing it with a piece of chicken which hadn't be cremated, he did offer us some drinks which we declined.by this time my other sister in law had started on her ciabatta only to find the chicken in hers was just as bad, I then checked mine, chef must have worked hard to get them all so consistently burnt. None of us finished our meals and paying £50 for 3 drinks and 2 small portions of chips was gutting will not return to pato lounge again and really annoyed that my sister in laws view of restaurants in Orpington has been soured by our visit to your venue.we also had the pleasure of a child that used their ear splitting scream extremely often throughout our meal and beyond I’m sure. Arrived for a birthday brunch table was rotten had to ask for it to be cleaned, waiter was not bothered that the table was dirty only cleaned one section. when food arrived none of the dinners were hot one was stone cold, spoke to the waiter who was very apologetic said he would sort it and it would take 5 minutes, nearly 20 mins later one of our party of 6 had to ask where it was, the staff weren't really bothered, it finally came out after about 5 mins we had nearly all finished our brunch, the plate of food in question some items were still cold, complained again but told them not to bother as the rest of us were finished. Staff said have another coffee on the house with nobody really wanted, we declined.

While all this was happening one of the 'chef's' from the kitchen came out, if looks could kill we should all be dead. Not very professional from your staff! We had to ask at the bar on the way out for that breakfast to be refunded, the 'manager' asked how can he help? Surely he should know why I came back to the bar. He should of come over to the table to solve the issue, but seemed too busy chatting behind the bar. Not one member of staff seemed to care about their customers.
