I never though I would be giving this review, but here we go: Electric coffee was like my second home, I use to go there every. Single. Day, chatting with the staff, and over drinking coffee. As I moved out, I stopped going there by came back today for old time’s sake. Shouldn’t have. Electronic coffee close at 5, they usually warned us a few minutes before that. No one came. As I was caught up with my work, I did not see the time and left at… 5:03.Tremoundous mistake that I had made. I received the coldest warning from the barista that IT WAS CLOSE, I SHOULD HAVE LEFT THREE MINUTES AGO. Let s be honest, the closing time as never been THAT sharp, there was always a few minutes allowing us to evacuate. And yes, policies can change, and yes, I obviously GET that the staff want to leave on time but gosh, there is a MANNER to say it, especially when this tolerance was always there before. I cannot help myself but to believe that this is a personal issue, from a specific barista, whose attitude with change 100%. A few months ago, I noticed that he always grabbed the cup he was using by putting his thumb down the cup – where we pour the liquid, where we gonna put our lips to drink. I – very kindly – explained to him that it was a sensitive issue for me. I was obviously not upset with him, it was not a critic of him – he had been very warm and kind before that, just about this specific motion, as I believe we should be able to communicate that. Since then, dead cold. Anyway, not coming back obviously. Above all, I get a feeling of disappointment that this is how my - - long – story with Electric Coffee will...

With Shepherd Bush Market (Colourful stalls offer fresh, tasty and cheap fruits and prepared food) and lots of bars, pubs, restaurants and shopping mall nearby, it is a good place to stay. But it is a multicultural place with mixed people, so if you arrive here the first time, just be careful.

Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Electric Coffee for a long time, but after my recent experience with Bruce at this branch, I will not be coming back.
While ordering a simple flat white, I politely asked the price of a bakery item. Instead of just answering, Bruce sighed loudly and rolled his eyes — extremely rude and unprofessional. Things got worse when I briefly stepped outside to take an important business call (no more than 2 minutes). On returning, he aggressively confronted me, saying “your coffee is ready, why are you answering your phone,” in an uncalled-for and confrontational manner.
This was shocking behaviour from someone representing the business. As a long-standing customer, I expect basic respect and courtesy — not sighs, eye-rolling, and hostility for no reason. His attitude ruined the whole experience, and it’s solely because of him that I will never return to this branch.
If this is how Electric Coffee allows its staff to treat customers, it’s disgraceful. Management seriously needs to address...
