Bush Hall, an intimate and character-rich venue known for hosting a variety of musical events, recently presented an interesting experience. On the positive side, the hall's ornate decor and excellent acoustics typically make for an engaging and immersive concert experience, particularly for piano performances which can truly resonate in such a setting.
However, during a recent concert, there was a significant issue with the air conditioning system not functioning properly. This fault unfortunately impacted the overall experience. As the concert progressed, the lack of proper ventilation became increasingly apparent, leading to an uncomfortable atmosphere. The air quality diminished noticeably, which was particularly noticeable during the quieter, more subtle moments of the piano performance. The stuffiness in the air detracted from the otherwise enchanting musical journey.

This incident serves as a reminder of how environmental factors can significantly affect the concert-going experience. Despite this setback, the potential of Bush Hall remains, hoping future events will see such issues addressed for a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for...
Read moreIt's been years since I last visited Bush Hall but was relieved to find it still has the quirky charm of old. One of a dwindling handful of proper small music venues in central London (although admittedly the fringes of 'central') the sound is excellent, or at least was for this Sunday matinee from Focus. Decent enough lights, and sightlines were great - particularly as the bulk of the crowd were seated. On which subject a negative note: not sure if the ticket sales were predicated on the usual standing capacity, but for those of us stood at the back once the seats were filled it was pretty sardine-like! Bar staff were extremely efficient and polite, keeping the queue at a minimum with prompt service and, joy of joys, rigid plastic glasses instead of the dreaded wobbly pint-spillers. The gent's loo is still almost back out on the street by the front entrance but even with a sell out crowd of mainly over-60 males the queue didn't get out of hand. There's even an upstairs smoking deck for the dinosaurs amongst us, with a bit of cover for the British weather. Good venue, would happily return...

Music but also with his charisma. Amazing event with sexy 360degrees approach. only downfall was that technicians didn't communicate well with artist who was expecting projections on the wall behind him as part of the whole experience. Also His mic was not working when he was trying 2 communicate with audience & it took them more then 30min 2 fix this which was shame as the whole thing lasted only 1 hour. It's shame as we liked all previous performances @ this place very much. Looking 4ward 2...
