I ordered the buss up shut and vegetable curry from the Shepherd’s Bush branch. I don’t usually write reviews because I don’t like to negatively impact small businesses, but I felt genuinely compelled to share my experience this time.
Unfortunately, the quality of the meal was disappointing. The buss up shut arrived in small, broken pieces—more like cereal than roti, and I’m not exaggerating. The curry was bland and lacked the rich flavour and seasoning expected from proper Trini food. I had to add salt just to make it palatable.

Read moreAuthentic Trinidadian food, iv'e shown many this spot and all have been impressed. For close too 20 years i've been visiting, mostly for doubles, doubles hold a special place in my heart, freshly prepared and cooked on the day, all made with love, the combo with cucumber relish, tamarind sauce and hot sauce, flavour bomb explosion of greatness. The roti is amazing too, and even the vegetarian meals with fresh veg, spinach, pumpkin, potato curry and chana, real homely food served by real people, Considering theres only one Guyanese spot in the whole of london, i often adopt this as my home food choice, let me add its by no means 2nd choice.
Always greeted by warm Trini accents, an emersion in culture and warmth in the heart of Shepards Bush
Give thanks....
Read moreI was in the area and fancied a taste of back home. The roti skin was good ( I suspect made somewhere else and bought in ) the filling of chicken n potato was was lacking in flavour ,the potato was a cream mash. Now it was a small shop,no problem there. But the two staff one of which couldn’t even break a smile ,one of them it seemed just started work there she was fine. Neither of them I believe we are Trinis. They should try and be a bit more respectful to there customers. Or maybe they were surprised to see a white Trini in the shop And it shock them. But any way for a real experience of excellent good Trinidadian food take a trip to the Rotti shop...
