Read moreA very poorly organised cafe. Service is very slow and inefficient with a short queue taking up to 20 minutes to serve! The food is definitely not worth the price with cakes being the biggest disappointment. We had lunch and then came back for more food in the afternoon when it started raining unexpectedly. Cafe was overflowing with a big chunk of it closed off. When we asked to sit there or at least to get a table out, we were sent to sit outside in the rain with my elderly relative! I explained the situation to the staff but there was neither sympathy nor compassion. Treating paying customers like nuisance is definitely not the right way forward. Great house to visit but the cafe and the service from grumpy staff not trained in customer service being the biggest...

Not sure if it is because of Covid but a lot of the house was not accessible. The site is well maintained but has clearly had some hard times...
