Elvira's Secret Pantry — Restaurant in London

My husband has fairly recently been diagnosed gluten and lactose free and I have been struggling to adapt recipes.

We saw Elvira's stall at a Christmas Market and were very interested to learn that she gave lessons. My children bought me a session for Christmas and I finally managed to attend a class.

Elvira was very understanding and helped me to understand and be confident in baking gluten-free. We did a quiche/flan with tomatoes and sun-dried tomatoes, green and black olives and tarragon. It was enormous and delicious! We also baked blueberry muffins, which the family said were also delicious.

It is well worth going to a lesson and I will be saving up to attend another class.

I have experienced a free-from pasta course at Elvira's with my partner and daughter. Elvira has been teaching us the process of making gluten free pasta, ravioli and gnocchi. She gave us recepies and lots of clues how to be able to realise pasta at home, that taste great even if gluten free, and making us enjoy the pasta making. This is my second time ordering from Elvira and she was a life savour having left it till last minute to order. Other than needing an allergen free cake, I was drawn to the fact that she uses organic ingredients. She was very helpful by suggesting different cakes that met my requirements for my 3 yr old, being that I was somewhat clueless. Most importantly the cake was perfectly fluffy, moist and tasty.
