We went to Ferrari's at Bexley Village on Christmas Day.e went to Ferrari's at Bexley Village on Christmas Day.We love Ferrari's in Bexley Village & try to go as often as we can; usually with friends. This past year has been incredibly stressful so, we thought it would be a lovely treat....to go there on Christmas Day. The Menu looked lovely, so we booked & took our Son & his girlfriend with us. We were really looking forward to it! We arrived around 10 mins' early for our booking at 4 pm. Ferrari's is extremely popular & it was heaving. We had to wait, with others, for a few minutes to be seated but that wasn't a problem for us. The staff appeared really stressed...I actually felt very sorry for our Waitress, when I noticed that her 'Manager' (?) appeared to 'Have a go' at her, which I didn't think was fair; since it was easy to see she was working as fast as she could to prepare the tables!!

We were soon seated & when she came over to us, I told her not too worry; I felt so sorry for her. Well, basically it all went a bit downhill from there. When our Starter's arrived initially, they looked okay; 3 of us began eating but it wasn't long before we had to call a waiter because our son's girlfriend's... Chicken Goujons were incredibly crispy, hard & also cold; she couldn't even cut them so they were sent back. Then the Mains arrived... & for such a special Christmas Day menu, nothing appeared to be 'special'... The presentation was seemingly, poor & certainly not up to their usual standard. I'd chosen the Herb Crusted Lamb Rump with Gratin Potatoes... but when it arrived well, it honestly, looked like 'Road Kill'!! I actually enjoy Lamb Rump Steak very much & from the description, I assumed it would be the same or very similar but in fact, it wasn't pleasant...I actually had 2 big, thick chunks of lamb, which were extremely hard to slice & it was far pinker than I'd expected or normally ate & actually it had very little flavour to it. The Gratin Potatoes were almost flavourless & not a patch on my own. Our desserts were just acceptable but honestly, for a Christmas Day Menu, which on the surface appeared absolutely amazing; the whole meal turned out to be extremely under whelming & considerably overpriced. We knew how much it would cost before we booked & accepted additional overheads etc. & for a one-off treat, we would have been perfectly, okay with it. The additional £50.54 optional service charge didn't go down well & as a result we chose not to pay the full amount, given the food was absolutely NOT to Ferrari's normally beautiful presentation, quality & taste. Not only that but we didn't want to complain too much or cause a scene because it was, after all Christmas Day! Overall, it was a disappointing experience. We felt the Management Team could have organised it much better than they had. It appeared they just wanted to cram as many people as they could & it became far too overwhelming for the staff...I can't imagine what the kitchen must have looked like!! We do appreciate it was a special day but just felt that to some degree, the wheels fell off. We will however, continue to support the restaurant &will hopefully, return again soon.....Just not on...

I dined at Ferrari's on Christmas Day with my family and unfortunately, I must say that it was an experience I won't be repeating.

While the restaurant appeared busy, it was evident that they were understaffed. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed, and to our dismay, we even overheard the manager raising their voice at her, which was highly unprofessional and uncomfortable for everyone present.

The experience began on a sour note when my girlfriend ordered the Chicken Goujons for starters. To our disappointment, they arrived cold and rock hard, prompting us to send them back immediately. It appeared that they had been far from fresh; in fact, they seemed as though they had been frozen for an extended period before being prepared.

Moving on to the main courses, they were passable but failed to impress. At best, they were average, which was quite disheartening considering the price we paid. In fact, for the amount we spent, we could have easily dined at a high-end restaurant in Chelsea, where we would have received better quality food at a more reasonable price. While I understand that Christmas Day dining often comes with a premium, the cost of £95.00 per head, coupled with a £20.00 deposit per person in advance, set our expectations exceptionally high in terms of quality.

To sum it up, the experience felt like a total rip-off. I had anticipated much more from Ferrari's, but it seemed that they couldn't handle the holiday rush, and as a result, the quality of the food suffered greatly.

In conclusion, while the restaurant showed promise with its initial bustling atmosphere, the lack of staff and the subpar food quality left me deeply disappointed. Dining out on a special occasion like Christmas should be a memorable and delightful experience, but unfortunately, this was not the case at Ferrari's.

On a positive note, the...

Really disappointed with recent customer service received from the Ferraris team. We made a booking OVER A MONTH AGO for next Tuesday 14th February and received a call only yesterday to let us know they will only be offering the Valentine's Menu. Totally understandable - but with only one week's notice?! My partner wasn't keen on the menu, but of course - every other half decent restaurant in the area is now fully booked for Valentine's Day. Ferraris should have given their customers much more notice about this so thay they could make other plans if they so wanted. After reviewing the Valentine's Menu on their website I emailed them to let them know we'd like to cancel the booking, but also provided some feedback and explained our disappointment given the lack of notice. 10 minutes later, I receive an automated notification from OpenTable to say our booking had been cancelled, but no sign of an email response from the team at Ferraris to apologise and/or thank us for the feedback. This would have taken them no more than 60 seconds to write, whereas not doing so leaves the feeling that they really don't care about their customers at all. A shame as we dine at Ferraris fairly regularly (we partner lives almost opposite), but we won't be...

It was my wife’s birthday, and her being Italian 🇮🇹 & not wanting to travel into central London for a restaurant / meal or too far from the house we decided to give this restaurant to try. It didn’t help getting there that Sunday that the trains weren’t working and it was rail replacement buses….Anyway, we put that behind us. The service was good, so couldn’t fault that, it looked like the decor of restaurant could do with a spruce up, esp in back section where we were seated. We decided on the Sunday set menu, my wife chose 2 courses and me 3, although noticed they had charged my wife for three on bill after we’d left. The fish cake was more English style than Italian however tasty, The main course Roast lamb again more English style than Italian, My wife’s fish dish she thought was more French style than Italian, and the desserts tiramisu was nice but chocolate brownie again more English style than Italian. I mentioned it was my wife’s birthday a couple of times both via email and when booking the restaurant sadly they seemed to completely forget which was slightly disappointing, even a candle and one of the desserts would’ve been nice. Overall, glad we’d tried this local place…. One knocked off the list. Would we return that’s debatable…

Quaint and comfort. Go with your best friend for coffee, your partner for and intimate dinner or your friends for a drink. Food is fresh and the service is friendly and personable. Ask for the security citrus martini (you'll thank me). Well worth a visit and a support. Parking is limited so check where you can park or use public transport instead. Bookings required and covid regulations in place.

Had a three-course meal here. Each course was delicious and the portion sizes were acceptable. Service was efficient. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. There is limited street parking; otherwise try the nearby Bexley Statioj car park. The restaurant accepts Amex.
