My friend and I went on Wednesday evening for a meal at 9:15 and we asked the man if they were still open and they said yes they close at 10. We ordered the fried calamari to share, 2 seafood pastas, a tiramisu, a cheesecake and a bottle of wine. The portion of calamari was really little and the salad in the plate was very tiny and joke. The seafood pasta was lacking flavour. The tiramisu and the cheesecake were the only nice thing. The lady that was present that night was rude, the man who served us said that we can finish our wine, the lady came to collect our wine glasses and we still had our glasses half full but she said that she wanted to take them away as they were closed at 10 but the it was just 10:15 and the alcohol license for restaurants normally end at 11 or 12 but she wanted to kick us out. The man who served us was very kind and told us that we could stay but she was in a rush to go home. My friend and I both spent £50 on food and wine and we did bot expect this kind of service from them. We will never be back...
Read moreI'd love to be able to tell you how quintessentially Italian this eatery is, how the atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming, but unfortunately an angry little man got in the way of all that!
We phoned through a table for 7 during the day, even securing a high chair, we arrived at 5:45 and before even two of us could enter this aging mini Mario look-alike angrily told us we could not eat there, that he gave our table to another party of 7 and we should move on and find somewhere else.
Enquiring further, and he petulantly kicked towards a table suitable for 3 saying 'this is what we have free'.
In hospitality, you need to be hospitable, it's kind of the name of the game.
So 4 adults and 3 kids kicked to the streets in an area where unless you book you're going hungry.
Petulant, aggressive, short tempered, rude, abrasive, disappointing, lacklustre and horrendous. Put these words in a blender and that is what you'll find on...

I’ve always liked small Mom and Pop (small business) establishments because they are passionate and truly care, and put their hearts and souls into it. This place was no exception. I ordered the Veal Milanese and an appetizer of calamari. My wife ordered tortellini. The calamari was cooked to a T (perfectly done) and the veal was out of this world (better than excellent). And the gelato is to die for (another words, it was great). We made note of this place because the next time in London, we will be back. The owner served us an he was so warm and friendly. He treated...
