Lovely and affordable! I was on the hunt for a Christmas Pizza, and this was nice but not quite right - the Yorkshire pudding and its contents were so cold, as if it'd just come out of the fridge, and all the meat on the pizza was cold which is probably normal for porchetta, but I think it would have been nicer if it was hot and crispy, more roast dinner-y. Plus, a cheese base is a ticking time bomb against solidifying, so by the time I got halfway through the pizza the cheese was cool and solidifying, and the meat and apple sauce were cold already so the whole thing was a bit sad and cold. I love cabbage so I thought I'd like the sprouts, but they had a very strong plastic-y taste. It reminded me of wasabi so maybe it's horseradish but it was overpowering and I could taste it long after I'd finished. Overall the pizza itself was a bit sad and disappointing, and not that Christmassy. They also definitely skimped on the gravy, compared to the photos, which would have added to the Christmas feel. The fonduta was AMAZING, I strongly recommend it but my partner's bruschetta was disappointing as the tomato sauce (delicious though it was) meant the bread itself was soft and soggy, which is disappointing when you expect bruschetta to be crispy at the edges. It might be better to serve the sauce in a separate dish so it doesn't soften the bread. The prosecco that came with the Christmas menu was really tasty and very smooth, and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, we'll definitely come back! Just a bit odd how hard it is to find the toilets, as there are no obvious signs to tell you that they are downstairs, and it's a pain that there is only one lady's cubicle.

At first I thought it was unnecessary to leave a review, since this is a chain restaurant and only a few (based on my personal experience) can offer very high-quality food. An example is the "British mozzarella" (I don't even know what this is supposed to mean...) as regular cheese, and if you want the "real mozzarella" you need to pay an extra £2.45. This being said, after reading some reviews I felt the need to leave mine. Why? Because this is not the real/authentic/excellent pizza advertised by many. This is a pizza, but a bad one. I don't know if it is because the dough didn't rise enough, but despite being thin it wasn't soft at all, and some parts were even crunchy.... The only good (average) thing was the toppings, where, of course, I chose the "real mozzarella". The service was also poor, as with only 3 tables (included ours), the waiter never came back to take our drinks order and it was not easy to draw the staff attention. So if you want a pizza and you do not particurarly care about the authenticity/quality of it, this place is a good choice.

There is a metro station (the Green line), close to the pizzeria, which is great for tourists (like me) and for people, using the public transport. The atmosphere is very welcoming and warm; the waitresses are always having smiles on their faces and are very very kind. As for the menu - it was not that rich, when it comes to the diversity of the meals, but the pizza I had was nice (a Margherita), although I expected a little bit more basil on it. I had a glass of organic lemonade, which was delicious. I was a little bit disappointed, because I wanted to have pasta for dinner, but they don't do that, which I personally think, is unacceptable for an Italian restaurant. The salad was not that good either. However, I was impressed by the delicious dessert that I had - chocolate hazelnut cake with a scoop of chocolate ice cream. I tried the lemon sorbet as well, which was alright (despite the fact that a small scoop costs 3 pounds). The overall experience was nice.

Franco Manca is a popular pizzeria chain in the UK known for its sourdough pizzas. The Richmond branch is located on George Street in Richmond, London. The staff and the whole atmosphere is friendly, they even give you recommendations what to eat from their specials. The whole idea is to try a new pizza from them , different from the traditional pizzas. Overall, Franco Manca Richmond will receive positive reviews for its delicious pizzas, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere. Particularly you will enjoy the sourdough crust, which is crispy and chewy at the same time. The restaurant also offers a good selection of toppings, including vegetarian and vegan options. The restaurant can get quite busy and noisy at peak times, but this is often seen as a sign of the restaurant's popularity and good food.

Atmosphere was fine, regular Franco manca kinda vibe. The pizza was delicious. Not THE BEST but in terms of authentic Napolitan pizza it could pass. Staff were friendly and came when we needed. Not hiding anywhere avoiding us. Reason I won't give 5 star is the parmigiana was wierd. Nothing like any parmigiana I've ever tasted before. Its like they used raw aubergines then cooked like that? Or maybe they boiled them or grilled them first? Usually they are fried then layered. Yeah but hey. Also at both Kingston branch and Richmond I've found the pizza base has been bit on the burnt side. I accept authentic pizzas have those burnt bubbles it's fine. But to actually make a whole slice taste bitter... Not sure why this happens here only but needs attention. Get that 5 star babies! 😍

Service: Staff was friendly and welcoming although the waitress was quite inexperienced since it took a while for you drinks (two bottles of water) to come. I understand the restaurant was full and takeaway pizzas were made at the same time, but it took 30minutes for our order to arrive which is quite uncommon. The waitress didn’t come to check on us throughout the meal so we had to go to the counter to ask for the bill while the table next to me had to get up to call the waiter to order their food. Cleanliness:Table was sticky (see photo) and bathrooms needed to be cleaned urgently. Food: Both pizzas were GF and the base was not that special, but the ingredients were the highlight of the night and I do recommend having the number 7. Overall experience: 3
