Placed an order via Uber Eats. Delivery driver came with the wrong order. Clearly, wrong order been given to driver by Franco Manca. When I called the restaurant, the only option given was to make the order again and wait for it to be delivered. At no point was an an apology offered for the mistake. Having waited 45 min from order to delivery I informed the restaurant this was unacceptable. Conversation continued with the manager not willing to take responsibility and hung up the phone. I called back . He hung up again citing I was shouting. At no point was I shouting, being firm with a restaurant is very different from shouting. . I called up the 3rd time, guess what he hung up again. I called back the 4th time and just asked for his name and he hung up. I genuinely was shocked that an adult of his age behaves so childish. Let alone a manager of a restaurant in the service industry. I cannot tell you how hard it was not to get frustrated at the level of incompetence and childish behaviour. It was almost like the manager was trying to get a rise out of me. I ended up driving to the restaurant so he had no option to hang up on me. I recorded the conversation also so he could not lie about me shouting . I will be forwarding the recording in an email to his head office and I’m hoping they can address this completely disgusting customer service. If I could give “0” then I would for rating. I will never be using Franco manca again. It’s a shame as I enjoyed their pizza . But I am not willing to spend my hard earned money at a business which allows this behaviour. Needless to say I will be aiming to get my friends and family to boycott the chain. All this nonsense from a mistake they made and can’t even...
Read moreWe popped by Franca Manca today at around 2pm for lunch. We waited outside to be seated for almost 10 minutes and as no one came to greet us we decided to take a seat outside. We intentionally sat closer to the window and away from the disruptive work being carried out on the pavement. The restaurant was very quiet besides a couple of tables being occupied.
After waiting for another 10 minutes a very hefty and irate waiter came stumbling over toward our table. Never in my entire life have I been spoken to with such disregard by a waiter. He didn't greet us and instead advanced aggressively toward the table and demanded we move seats, trying to reseat us adjacent to the pavement safety bollards where works were being carried out. We tried to explain that we were already comfortable and didn't want to sit near the remedial works. He started screaming "Move or leave!" at this point he had gone bright and was sweating profusely down his already greasy top. Having been made to feel so uncomfortable we no longer wanted to order food here, as the sight and manner of this waiter was unacceptable. Upon leaving we politely asked if we could speak with the manager. Whom we have previously dealt with whilst dining here and at another local restaurant he used to work at. He pretended he was the manager and downright refused to give his name.
The reason I am so disappointed is because I have visited this restaurant and have always received good service. After this experience I no longer feel comfortable coming back. To the manager, please for the sake of your restaurant get rid of this awful...
Read moreI work at a local school for children with special needs. I contacted the manager Renato about doing a trip to make pizzas and although they had never done anything like this before he made a big effort to work out a plan including letting me come for a pre-visit to work out logistics. He had lots of great ideas like giving them ingredients to play with and then being able to watch pizzas being made by the chef and put in the big oven. Renato and all the staff were kind and open minded and our children had a great time. we made loads of noise mess but nothing was any trouble. They moved furniture and even let us come early to have extra space. Not to mention the kids all got delicious franco manca pizza for lunch. For price, service and effort to be inclusive and adaptive I wish I could give more than 5. It is important to mention that there is a small step down to the toilet and the corridor is quite narrow but southfields library is across the road and they have disabled toilet facilities (although no hoist or changing bed). but despite the building not being 100% accessible this restaurant is very inclusive. we took 4 groups of 5 children on consecutive days and 5 wheelchair users were well accommodated in the restaurant. Thankyou franco mancas you...
