Surprisingly poor, considering previous reviews. Despite only three tables in the restaurant being occupied at any one time, brunch service on Saturday was incredibly slow and quite inattentive. Our food and drinks arrived in a very staggered fashion with much of the food being lukewarm, verging on cold, and overall not the best quality. Additionally some of our plates were cleared whilst others were still eating, and there were issues with our bill. Our waitress was clearly inexperienced, and mistakes are a natural part of learning on the job, however I feel management should have stepped in to ensure she was better supported and improve (potentially rescue) the dining experience for us.

The food we had was bland and clearly little enthusiasm has gone into its preparation. I had the "Freja eggs" which were two sad, little, overcooked poached eggs perched on a mountain of flavourless greek yogurt and surrounded by some torn up sourdough. It looked fine, but the only flavour I got was sourness from the yogurt. Read moreI have no idea why it's taken me so long to visit Freya as I live 2 minutes from it, but holy hell, this is a beaut of a spot.
The atmosphere inside is very relaxed & comfortable & the menu offers a fair bit whilst not being too much & clearly still focusing on quality over quantity. I have The Feta Crunch for brunch & every mouthful was perfect. A great selection of drinks too & the overall pricing of the menu was incredibly fair.
