Great food, nice atmosphere and a good view of the kitchen. Coffee isn't great unfortunately, it isn't terrible but if you're just coming here for a coffee, it's strengths lie elsewhere. Update: today I went in and stood at the till for a couple minutes whilst 3 different baristas walked by, looked at me but none of them said a thing. Even 'I'll be with you in a second' would have been fine. Can't say it's much fun standing around with staff looking at then looking away from you so I left.

Very HOME from HOME place to visit. First the shop was really clean and neat, the staff are chatty and attentive to all customers. Great coffee and they had a great range of really great pastries and breads to make your mouth water. Seems to be a great place for families and mums-to-be to meet up. WiFi is excellent and they have a nice section of high tables which are great when using your laptop and don't want to take up a 4 person table.

Very nice brunch of mushrooms and goats curd on toast. Fresh produce and quick service made for a great brunch. Freshly croissants going into the oven to top-up their enormous spread of fresh pastries are sure to make your mouth water! Only minor criticisms are the staff could be friendlier for sitting in, and toilets were pretty dirty for a Sunday morning.

Dear Gails owners, First of all I want to start this message telling how tasty your bakery is and I was so excited to get that morning fresh bread for my coffee , but today after buying a fresh bread I decided not to visit your shops anymore. On 4 th November I paid 3.40£ and on 6 th November realised I was charged 4£. At first I thought I was overcharged and went to today went to buy a fresh bread and asked if I was overcharged and the answer was :No! You have increased your prices nearly 20% which I thinks it’s rip off and crime to increase prices in such I big increase! All nation going through tuff times and I understand companies going through the same feeling to survive, but to put your prices up by 20% it’s absolutely disgusting! Wish you good luck, but you lost one customer today just being greedy...

We love Gail's but since moving to Abbeville 2yr ago, there's been a notable decline in friendliness of the till staff. Maybe getting overworked and underpaid during lockdown, but it's not nice to make loyal local customers feel so unwelcome. Leaving this review as a particular lady gave my wife unnecessary attitude when she visited during a stroll with our newborn, making her come home quite upset. It's as though this lady deems it beneath her to serve, and this grumpiness has clearly infected other colleagues (and infects customers too). We are sadly not the only neighbours who have decided we'd rather spend our money in Nue Ground where the coffee is also very nice but the staff are actually happy to see you (and even...

I just went for a takeaway coffee with my sister this morning and was shocked by the rude barista who shouted at my sister. She had forgot to take her pastry at the counter and was talking to me before we heard “EXCUSE ME YOUR PASTRY” in the most aggressive manner. People were beginning to stare and it was incredibly awkward. We were shocked and didn’t say anything, and the lovely barista working with her then was super polite and lovely. She is often working at the coffee machine complaining about the job and has the most miserable temperament. I wish I went and found out her name. Disgusting behaviour given I come here everyday and try and be friendly with...
