Classy intimate venue for cocktails and wine, plus a 2 draught beers if that's more your thing. This is the sort of place you'd go for a date or quiet classy night out in a small group - it's not a boozer.

Prices are about what you'd expect for the location and atmosphere, so expect to pay £10-17 for a cocktail outside happy hour - but for that you are getting a quality product. I tried several and all were spot on, with garnishes and quality to match much pricier spots in the city and Mayfair. I also tried a non-alcoholic option and it was delicious.

Service is lovely and very attentive, you order and are served at your table, and complimentary water is provided.

Overall, hard to fault for a more high brow night...

Couple of niggles - 2 for £12 early bird cocktails advertised, but turns out it’s only on selected cocktails. Had reserved, but wasn’t allocated a table, the the one I headed for was reserved for someone else. And later asked to move for a large party to a less comfortable spot (in a small place there aren’t many options!). Water top ups plentiful and wine perfectly ok, but feels like it thinks it’s a really classy joint and it’s just not - yet - because those little things matter. Staff perfectly nice and service good. It’s nice to have a place like this in the area but they need to remember it’s Tooting not Soho, and so work harder on the small stuff. Was my first visit since changed names, I hope...

As a small group of 4 looking for somewhere nice on a Sunday evening we took a chance on Goldfinch, it was quite quiet and perfect for a laugh over a few drinks. From the initial welcome with a glass of water (which was topped up through the night) and attentive service from the bartender Lewis to the attention to detail with each cocktail and drink we ordered (even the boring mixers and wines) this place was great.
