I came here for dinner with friends last night. I really wanted to try this place as i love dim sum, and to find a local dim sum place was exciting. They make their dim sum in house and i saw they do a nice lunch time menu. We managed to get a table at 8.45pm on a friday without booking. The staff were very good, they were friendly, very fast with the service and they gave us complimentary prawn crackers at the start of the meal. We order 2 dim sum items the har gau and the cheong fun. Both we're delicious and near to the standard in china town. We ordered the seafood fried rice, beef ho fun noodles, pak choi and the rost duck. They all tasted great with the stand out dishes being the duck and noodles for me. The standard of the food was high, and prices were similar to other local Chinese restaurants the dum sum was cheaper then the one in bang bang in Colindale. Definitely one of my favourite local Chinese. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the lunch time special menu.
Update coming for the lunch time special. You get 2 courses for £12.95, we order the hot nd spicy soup & the won ton soup to start with a sai mai and cheng fun off the dim sum menu to start with. The soups were delicious with lots of ingredients and the dims sum was light and juicy. For the mains we ordered the beef ho fun and the ox seafood noodles. Both had an extra £1 supplement but were definitely worth it. The sea food had lots of ingredients and were really good. We found out the dim sum gets a 20% discount at lunch times monday to Thursday. I'm definitely coming back for the...
Read moreThis was my 2nd time with my husband but with 3other friends & again sat on mezzanine level. But we just couldn’t bear the noise with all the dirty dishes got thrown in the bowl. You were startling every 5 min. Clearing up dishes shouldn’t be there next to all 4 tables. There should never be tables in this area next to kitchen. Our friends were hesitated going as they said they had terrible take away. But we thought it may be better if you eat in. We had such a terrible meal, the duck pancake were stuck together. The other 5 dishes were just taste the same & pretty greasy. When I went the first time there was a male head chef I noticed when you sat next to the kitchen & it was decent. My friends & I were so disappointed in every way. Their concentration seems to be take away. Mezzanine level should never have tables there. Squeeze in too many tables also at ground level. I think it’s greedy !!!
Thump down from me 👎 I was so excited about it the first time to have nice local Chinese it was badly let down £200 for 5 it wasn’t cheap. I will stick to Bayswater or Baker Street or one in East Barnet from now on. If it is carry on the way it is I will give it 6 months. Very very very disappointed !!! 👎👎👎

Read moreWhat a disappointment! Customer service dedication/attention to detail: ZERO! I wrote an email to the table reservation, requested table for 5, within 3 minutes I got a confirmation. I replied back saying thanks and explained that this would be a birthday dinner out and would like to get a candle to be blown, NEVER GOT a response. Just before leaving the restaurant tonight, I showed the staff member the email, the guy didn't bother: said he couldn't do anything about it. Really???!!! After spending hundreds pounds is that kind of response/customer service we get???? I work with customer service and this kind of things piss me off, especially because that was supposed to be a BIRTHDAY DINNER!!! BAD FORTUNE CLUB FAILED TWICE: on the email by ignoring it and in person when I asked the staff and he couldn't bother to do anything! Beside this disgraceful experience some of the dishes were overpriced! Example: I asked for a mixed vegetable paid over £10 for a ridiculous plate with very few slices of some vegetable(see picture). ALSO: almost £4 for a very few (4 or 5) prawns crackers???!!!! WOW RIP-OFF!!!! Won't recommend it at all. Terrible experience. Really spoiled somebody's special day....
