Greggs — Restaurant in London

One only has to look at the decline in positive reviews of this particular outlet to understand it is massively disappointing. I walked in today and there are only 5 sandwiches in all of their fridges, 5 single sandwiches. The drinks fridge is about a quarter full and the "Hot and Tasty " cabinet is empty. The boxed cakes only had a couple on the stand.

My vegan pastry was tepid at best and like a lot of reviews this seems to be a trend of this establishment. The tables were left with debris all over, another fashionable trends for this place, and the staff unable to offer any customer service. I was in the one in Ilford yesterday and a complete opposite of service and experience. It is lunch time, 12:30, and a busy Sunday afternoon .

Not a great place at all.

I lined up behind eight customers to make a purchase. When I got served the girl said she had no change for a twenty pound note so I offered a ten pound note she said she had no change at all and looked at me like I had two heads when I said I wanted the items. We have not got any change at all. I walked out fuming. Not everyone pays on a phone or a card. I will not be going back and unless you have a bag of change I suggest you shop somewhere else. BAD BAD BAD. I would’nt have given one star but there is’nt an option for ZERO stars. Shame on you Greggs and I suggest you get some staff that will keep your till topped up with change as I would’nt have been the only one that walked...

Convenient location, great tasting freshly baked goods, good selection of freshly cut cold sandwiches. Coffee is a bit of a disappointment for quality espresso lovers, but hey, is Greggs a coffee shop? No. It is a bakery. And as a bakery it scores quite highly in my all-time-greatest-supa-dupa-easy-get-tasty-food-on-the-go list of establishments for foodies. Staff needs to smile a bit more - I guess it is not an easy job working in such a busy place....
