Snack bar dagenham — Restaurant in London

Food is average at best, rarely go in here, walk past it a couple of times a week though and it hasn't changed much, and if you want a seat outside the cafe to have a drink you may not stand much chance as there's always a group of old women sitting outside cackling away socialising with no food or drink in sight, I'm guessing the snack bar is half cafe/half retirement home for the regulars sitting outside each time I walk past, it don't bother me in the slightest but just a bit weird why the cafe won't move people on after so long to make way for other customers, but I rarely go in there anyway so who cares what I think really, but food average at best, customer service average, prices are above what I would expect to pay for a 2 star cafe in a dump like Dagenham (I've lived in Dagenham all my life by the way) but are otherwise not too expensive anyway, would only go here if there was a genuine need like I had run out of food in the house and all the shops selling food for me to cook had run out of that food, but that's unlikely so the chances of me going back here in the near future is extremely unlikely and as for the distant future I don't know maybe I'll make another trip to this cafe once or twice again...

I came here with my 2 young daughters to have our lunch yesterday, the staff were very friendly and nice as always. We could all sit comfortably, there was no issue taking a buggy inside.

The food was nice and the prices were reasonable. I personally find their portions quite big. I had a set 3 breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it, it came with a piece of toast and a cup of hot drink. I couldn’t believe they give you a good size of bubble, the cafes I visited would not give a big piece like that! And the bacon! I’m not a fan of bacon but the way they cooked it was very nice and juicy, not dry at all! My girls had a kids meal each and they really enjoyed it. My eldest already wants to go...

Been going here for the past 25 years, and know the staff well. A very friendly place, with the staff happily greeting regulars like myself. Food is great, and reasonably priced, and they will happily customise any order you want without issue. This is my meeting place of choice, and whilst it can get busy at peak times, it's also a great social spot for the regulars, who greet everyone with a nod and a smile. Outside seating is available, but it's always popular with the regulars, so spaces may be limited at times, but staff always happy to accomodate customers to their best ability.
