Greggs — Restaurant in London

Went into this Greggs Midday on Saturday 16/11/2024 and many times prior to this. Usually the service and the food is great, however on my last visit, it was the most unpleasant and rudest service I've ever received and that's no exaggeration. The young guy (I didn't get his name) clearly hates his job and doesn't what to be there. To start with I said "hi" and he ignored me while looking at me with irritated face. Maybe because he might of been trying to replenish the chiller with sandwiches and then I come in so I'm a massive inconvenience apparently. Then I noticed there was pizza that was sitting in the oven with the oven door open so I said "could I have one" then I thought he mumbled "just one" to which I said "yes please" then he said "WHICH ONE" with a disgusting tone. Lastly there was only one cheese and tomato pizza in the oven so I suddenly jumped to the conclusion that it might of been for his lunch or something so I said "why was there only one pizza cooked, is it for yourself?" He replied "there is only one pizza left, that would be the obvious reason." At that point I could of launched the hot chocolate at his head.

There are many unemployed people around that would kill to work in a place like greggs, meanwhile Greggs are hiring the likes of this. Whoever gave this dude the job...

Go here for a bacon roll and cappuccino. It's cheaper than McDonald's and much tastier. Also the staff are very good.

They have a great selection of cakes, sandwiches, salads and hot food including vegan sausage rolls.

The store is well kept and presented and there are some healthy options too.

Also a great offer to buy a reusable cup for just £2 and get a free coffee (Costa charges £8-10 for the cup).

A gem...

Greggs is the place to go for greasy, lukewarm lunch.
