Grill & Thrill — Restaurant in London

Fancied some grilled chicken so came to this spot.

The decor is quite bright and I sat in one of the booths, which was comfortable. I should say that for the booths the seating is quite a distance away from the table, so we found ourselves having to pull the table close to us and decided to sit on one side together as a result. If you are a large group, this may be an issue.

Went for a ‘couple platter’, which is basically platter for 2 that includes half a chicken, 4 wings, 4 strips, salad, chips and drink.

The food did not take too long to arrive, despite there being a fair few people having ordered too.

The chicken was tasty, moist and flavourful. There was the right level of spice used for the marinade and cooked well. As were the wings and strips. The chips too were cooked just right. The salad was ok, although not fresh.

We received all this for 15.99, which is reasonable considering the portions of the food.

The service was prompt and friendly and are approachable.

I would rate this as a very good local place to visit to satisfy a grilled chicken craving at an affordable price. They do have other items on the menu, which looks fairly extensive, and do hope to come back soon to...

I have been here three times, but on the first occasion I was charged £8 for just Donner and chips in a small box. I thought that was the price of the box, so I went another two more times and was charged £6.49. I spoke to the guy who said he worked there for a long time and told me the guy who charged you £8 was new and didn’t understand the menu, and I was offered 2 wings for free. So I was happy with the customer service, and due to this, I went for the fourth time, which I refused to buy as a different worker charged me £8 for the same doner and chips. I was confused. I told him I paid £6.49 before he was rude and adamant that it was £8, but what I told him was what the experience worker told me. £6.49 is doner and chip. £8.49 is for doner ,chips, and drinks and £9.19 is the large doner and meat and chip, but he refused to believe it as I had no proof, so in his eyes the chips were more expensive than a can of drink.

Avoid!! Paid £43 for 4 meals. Food was disgusting. Over cooked. Burnt and had no taste whatsoever. Ordered online and picked delivery option only to wait an hour and call them and find out they don’t deliver to my address and I have to collect. So went to collect and wish I hadn’t. Wings were over cooked small and burnt. Sharwama wraps were filled with old salad and over cooked tiny pieces of tough chicken and lamb. Ordered lamb sharwama and mixed sharwama meal. Spicy double burger meal and wings meal and a portion of 10 wings. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Such a shame. 1 star was given for chips. Only thing that wasn’t over cooked.
