1 star for the service and scamming me and my friends for my birthday meal.

28 people were originally booked to attend. We all paid a £10 deposit per person (£280 in total).

2 people dropped out weeks before but we understood they would loose their deposit. I told the restaurant straight away it would only be 26 people.

10 people on the night didn’t turn up so we had 16 people at the meal. Knowing we would lose their deposits, we were fine as thats the rules.

We then were told we were losing our deposits, even though we were there and we also had to pay for everyones set menu who didn’t attend. What is the point in a deposit if you have to pay for full meals of people who didn’t attend?

Before i booked it, it was clearly stated those who do not attend lose their deposits. I have this in writing on instagram.

I was told the food had been prepared so we had to pay for it. So we thought we would get all the food we paid for. We didn’t. We only got enough food for barely 16 people. We paid for 26 full meals. So we paid for 10 full meals which we didn’t receive and was clearly served to other people but was already paid for by us.

My friends veggie meal (she is pregnant) came out after everyone had finished eating.

I asked for a bottle of still water and it took 30 mins to come out. One of my drinks took an hour to come out. Everyone had the same issue.

I am pretty sure they added service charge and didn't tell us. We would not have paid for service charge if we’d known this.

I called the next day even to try and resolve this but got nowhere apart from a confession we got served 16 meals and paid for 26.

I sent this to them on instagram:

‘After that phone call, it is clear that you charged us for food that did not come out.

We paid for 26 peoples FULL meals and only received enough for 16 people. This is disgusting behaviour and a terrible way to be treated especially as it was insisted we pay for the missing people as ‘their food was prepared’. This was clearly a lie.

When i called I would have appreciated resolving this by getting some kind of partial refund. I am so shocked by this as i used to love your restaurant and recommend lots of people to you.’

The reply i received was ‘ok’ and ‘Why are you keeping going on it’s done…’

I would not recommend this place. The belly dancing music was so loud in the side room and they said they couldn't turn it down where we were so i would suggest getting a speaker where you can turn it down in...

We booked for Valentines Day & opted for £70 per head set meal & paid £40 deposit. We were told that the restaurant would be decorated with a singer and a bottle of champagne & a pamper bag and a rose. We got seated and we noticed that our table was not decorated ie with Hearts, Candle or heart sweets. The waitress came round and ask us what did we want to drink we explained that we were having the Champagne package after waiting for what seemed like ages were presented with our champagne. She came back after about 15 minutes to take our order, we then had to wait ages for our meal as all around us people who had ordered long after us were getting their meals - which was not good service by my account. Also you were too packed in like sardines. We were presented with the bill which was for £140 they had forgot to take off our deposit £40 - it was lucky I noticed before my husband paid the bill. The only good thing about this Valentines Day was the singer and food. They fell short on the service, pampering bag and no decorated table, we would have been better with the £45 set meal & just ordered a bottle of nice wine - very very disappointed. The service is absolutely disgusting, visited today with my mum and brother. As soon as I got there there were 2 waitresses whom were just staring down on us and acted like we wasn’t there. To the point where the person cooking, greeted us and called a guy waiter whom was nice and approached us with a smile. While we got seated(was sat there for a while and was just again getting ignored by the girl waitresses) before the short one came and started taking our order with a disgusting attitude and (yes I spoke back to u in the same manner u spoke to me.) And just constantly staring down on us. I don’t know whether this was because me and my mum was wearing a scarf and we was getting treated differently. As Welling is quite white dominated. But u r working in Turkish restaurant so pattern up. All the other tables were getting the little starters( the bread and sauces) and were getting asked (“if they need anything else more bread”) but we didn’t get any and when I asked the taller one she started getting defensive and backing up her colleague.
