Every single item was made incorrectly and they acknowledged it but then didn't do anything about it.

My partner and I ordered 3 dishes. First was the tofu pockets with avocado/rice/pomegranate inside. Only 3 ingredients and one of them (pomegranates) was completely missing. We had to ask her to have them added in.

Next my partner ordered the poke bowl and asked for the avocado on the side as he's allergic (and I'd eat it instead). The bowl came out with the avocado still in the bowl AND missing one of the key ingredients, mango. We first pointed out the avocado to the server and she just shrugged and said "sorry" and didn't offer to have it fixed. We had to ask for a bowl to remove the avocado into, and then she didn't even bring any utensils to move it with so we had to ask for that too. Then we noticed the mango was missing and she said they had run out of mango in the kitchen.

At the point we had roll had come out which also had mango as a key ingredient and was missing from that as well. The mayo was also missing. That's 2 ingredients missing from a vegetarian handroll which already has few ingredients in it.

They didn't bother to mention to us when we ordered that they were out of mango otherwise we wouldn't have ordered dishes that have mango as a key ingredient.

When the check came they hadn't offered to provide any sort of discount (and we were too polite to ask) so for the first time in life I asked for the service charge to be removed because 3 out of 3 dishes were served minus critical ingredients (not to mention them not separating the avocado as asked which we told them my partner is unable to eat). She said that sure she would remove the service charge for us.

We paid and only after realised that the server did NOT in fact remove the service charge as asked and as she had claimed she would.

Don't think I've ever had such a shockingly bad experience at a London restaurant...

Went with a group for dinner and was utterly disappointed.

The only highlight of the meal was the starters—bao buns and some sushi. The crispy tofu in the bao buns was delightful, and the mango in the sushi added a unique and amazing touch.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. We waited over 30 minutes for the mains to arrive, despite the restaurant being less than half full. We had to chase the staff a couple of times, yet with over three chefs in the kitchen, the food still took an unacceptable amount of time.

The yakisoba was a major letdown—soggy and reminiscent of a cheap noodle dish made with ketchup. It tasted like a rushed home-cooked meal, lacking any authenticity. The katsu curry was no better, with poorly balanced rice-to-curry proportions. Frankly, a meal at a Wasabi branch would have been more satisfying.

Despite the disappointing food and service, we paid the large bill, including a service charge we didn’t contest. However, as a fellow restaurant professional, I would have waived the charge, considering the poor turnaround time and kitchen performance. While our server was kind and polite, the overall experience...

Use to be here regularly once a week back to days when this restaurant opened. After while mains started to get smaller and smaller so we stopped going. Today we decided to visit again and see... I personally love everything on the menu. But I have to say...mains portions didn't change, I think it even got worse than before. I believe rice itself is not too expensive to add a bit more on a plate. Current portion of teriyaki salmon is a kid's portion, very tiny for any male. I am sorry to say that but you use to make very nice looking bowl of teriyaki. Today we had half empty plate with 3 bits of salmon (definitely not a size fillet from Sainsbury's for example), little rice and very little vegetable. I would recommend to eat sushi mainly as you won't be disappointed and leaving still hungry. Hopefully we will come again one day and see...

So happy this place exists in Tufnell Park! We stopped by for dinner, intending to get sushi and ended up getting much more. The space is beautiful and welcoming, with an open kitchen so you can see/interact with the chef which was really nice. Everyone was very friendly. In addition to the delicious sushi (I have been searching for a place like this in London!), we tried the gyoza and chicken katsu curry. The curry had a great flavour and wasn’t very spicy. Loved the pickles and onions on the rice, just wished there was more than one potato! For dessert we tried the strawberry cheesecake mochi which was as good as it sounds! Looking forward to coming back soon to try more of the menu, particularly the poke…

A really lovely little restaurant. Very fast service, which is really convenient, and also nice and friendly. The food was all really high quality and although not hugely innovative, it definitely had a nice twist on traditional Japanese cuisine. For example, I’d definitely recommend the Nepalese style gyozas as being uniquely delicious, and I’d really encourage the chefs to even do some more of this lovely fusion! The sushi was also really lovely and high quality, and it was very nice being served directly by the chefs when sitting at the bar. Really nice experience overall with a very reasonable price.
