Went in for a mocha and asked for it extra hot and wet (no foam). The barista clearly hated being there — when I asked for hotter milk, he said it couldn’t be done because “the milk will spill.” I used to work as a barista; there are ways to make it hot without spilling it. He didn’t even bother holding back the foam when done, so I ended up with a half-full cup once it settled, and it barely tasted of chocolate. When I asked about it, he rudely told me to “use a spoon.” It’s not my job to mix the drink properly — that’s his. I decided right after walking out to go back because I wasn’t about to pay £4 for a half-done cup of coffee, and politely asked if he could remake it. Instead, he snapped, shoved my money back, and refused to do it saying he won’t. He was all smiles and charm with two male customers. Either he hates his job, or he has an issue with women — but either way, he shouldn’t be working in customer service. This was on a Tuesday around 1:00 pm in case there is a higher up who is interested in knowing who this person is. Go to the one next door, the women there are all smiles...
Read moreSo I’ve travelled all around Chiswick in search of the perfect coffee and believe it or not I’ve just recently stumbled upon it right at my door step..just around the corner on Bath Road, it’s called Heisenberg! Heisenberg truly is the Holy Grail of coffee shops!!! Ecstatic to finally find a place serving exceptional coffee by people passionate about what they do! This rather bijou coffee shop is superbly well located and ventilated!! and has a lovely floral ceiling giving it a modern on trend look .. The service has always been exceedingly good with wide brimming smiles!! Ok I know this place is all about the coffee .. but I feel the need to mention the cakes on offer, the carrot cake.. in particular.. I mean this carrot cake is gorgeously moist the perfect balance of flavours and ratio of carrots /walnuts / frosting! This cake couldn’t be reduced to just flour, eggs and sugar ..no.. it is life affirming!!
So ..That’s my 3rd visit to Heisenberg under my belt!! .... Will I return for that spectacular cuppa and a slice of 7th...
