The Post Room Cafe — Restaurant in London

Being long-term Chiswick residents, we are used to having an abundance of very good cofee shops around... We were especially pleased when we heard a new coffee place was opening in what was once an exceptionally beautiful corner in stunning Bedford Park, that had sadly become a rundown corner with not much happening for it... The corner has thankfully had a renaissance these last few years with a number of excellent independent shops opening up there.. We can safely say that the Post Room is our fave though, with their superb selections of fresh pastures, breakfasts, lunches, mouth wateringly good coffee and cakes. And now they have been a saviour to the local community during Covid, supplying us with so many of the essentials such as freashly in store baked bread, wonderful flours, pasta, fruit & feg and...

Just one star is a bit harsh, perhaps, when the staff were pleasant and the quality of the 2 items ordered was very good.

Here's what they got right: Mushroom soup delicious, Americano coffee great flavour and correct strength, nice ambiance.

Here's what they got wrong: Soup not hot enough so had to be returned - reheated soup was borderline hotter; delicious bread that came with the soup was served buttered - always let the customer decide whether to add butter, don't decide for them.

I would definitely go back again, and if I find they have remedied the above I'll update and revise my...

Nice little cafe near thurnam Green tube station. It is located in a quiet area and if the weather is good there is plenty of space to sit outside while enjoying your coffee or having a lovely breakfast. I really like this little cafe but I also have to admit that I get frustrated by the slow service. I am sometimes in a hurry because of work commitments and I have to wait long times ( more than 10 mins) just to get a simple coffee and and no one seems to care. It would be nice if they let you know that there is a significant amount of time before you get what you paid for. At least...
