I saw this new little Dessert shop selling tiramisu and pistachio milk cake. I suggested them to make a pistachio tiramisu and they actually did it. So i said let me be the guinea pig to help them master their craft.
I got: 🍰Pistachio Tiramisu 🍰Regular Tiramisu 🍰Blackforest Cake 🍰Dubai Sreamcake 🍰Chocolate Cake. 🥤Dubai Chocolate Milkshake
Making the total £26.97
The Dubai Milkshake looked premium, like they just created the next logical direction for the viral chocolate to go.
However, it's still in its beta phase as it was too runny, not thick enough and their own melted chocolate hardened as soon as it mixed with the cold drink, causing the straw to get blocked, where I now had to scrape it off with a spoon. Fix those and they have a Banger
The Tiramisu was Nice and did exactly what it was supposed to, with the coffee flavour being just enough for a non coffee lover to enjoy. However, the cream could have had more volume for a more smoother mouthful experience.
Which The Pistachio Tiramisu had and is a big reason it tasted so amazing from the very first bite with its soft, creamy, and thick texture. The lightly coffee flavoured biscuits blending beautifully with the pistachio flavour inside the cream was ratio'd just enough to make both their presence known without one taking over the other, making me. enjoy every bite of it. this is a game changer and I'm glad they listened.
The chocolate cake wasn't for me being pure chocolate heavy And we have to talk about the Base Layer which really lost me. It was this strange Chocolate Sponge with an odd texture and taste I wasn’t fond of at all.
The Black Forest Cake started off with a Fake Cherry and Chocolate Shavings on top that didn't resonate with my tastebuds. It didn’t have that light chocolatey, creamy Flavour I was expecting, plus the cherries were more mushy jammy, removing the natural sweetness and tasted more sugary. The base was the same odd chocolate sponge so that ruined it even more unfortunately.
And finally the Dubai Dream Cake had a firm chocolatey top, cracking as you dig your spoon against it, with the body of a Smooth, Creamy White Chocolate Layer. The Kunafa however, was completely soft, missing the whole point of the contrasting crunchy texture that makes this cake unique. also the base had that same sponge problem nearly causing me to crash out
So yeah 5 cakes, 1 Favourite, 1 Winner, 2 potentials and 1 not for me. A pretty good start for a new...
Read moreToday we went to this restaurant after watching their social media 50% off promotion then got surprised when lady in the counter told us its only 50% off when you spend £15 which not been stated before. Then ordered our food. The lady is really polite and helpful but there was no one else to help her so she left the front desk and went to the kitchen coz there was more order. By the time she is preparing orders there was more people queuing up to order but sadly there was no one to take orders. Guys if you cannot handle things then you shouldn't advertise as you know there can be more crowd then usual this weekend after you have invited everyone for a promotion. Moreover some people left without ordering as no one in the counter. Only 1 staff member to run a takeaway is not a good idea. *The menu is very expensive specially in east london compare to other street food shops so i have added the picture of the menu *Chotpoti was not well cooked and was cold. Chana inside was not boiled properly. Fuchka was ok. Highly recommend the bel puri and mango lassi which tasted nicer then others.
Its a takeaway shop and there is a small sitting in...
Read moreI recently visited Hello Dhaka, a restaurant that brings the vibrant flavors of Dhaka’s street food right here to London, and overall, it was a delightful experience.
The food quality was very good, and it really captured the essence of authentic Bangladeshi street bites. The fuchka was fresh and flavorful, though I personally felt the sauces and chutneys could be richer and more balanced—they’re such a big part of the fuchka experience, and a little improvement here would make it absolutely perfect.
The halim was impressive, with a generous portion of meat and a satisfying taste. I would have loved a slightly deeper richness in the flavors, but it was still enjoyable and comforting.
The momos were another highlight—soft, tasty, and definitely worth trying. Again, if the accompanying sauce were elevated with a bit more depth, this dish would be a real showstopper.
Overall, Hello Dhaka is definitely worth visiting for anyone craving Dhaka’s street food in London. The food is authentic, the quality is good, and with a little refinement in the sauces, this place could easily become a go-to favorite. I’ll certainly be...
