Flames — Restaurant in London

This review is based on chicken shawarma only...i may return one day to try other items based on other postive reviews. I have travelled throughout the middle east for years and have enjoyed shawarma all over, many nice places in London too so I do know what I am talking about! I went to Rions on a friday night to grab 4 chicken shawarma sandwiches for the family, service was pretty quick and the server was friendly ....getting into the food review now....shawarma wrap dripping with oil I seriously mean dripping like an oilfield, chicken had zero taste, garlic sauce zero taste, salad zero freshness. This shawarma is an insult to Lebanese food, i felt so bad having my family eating this food i threw most of it away. My suspicion is that this restaurant is owned by non Lebanese people and they have 1 or 2 arabic speaking guys serving but ingredients and meat prep isnt traditional...

This place standards have really dropped. Reviewed 5* last time but cant say it has remained its standard. The service was poor, chucked a few leaflets with only a handful of items. Ok food, with shops and ribs but nothing great. Not much on the menu than a shwarma. The restaurant was full of dodgy looking romanians by the looks of it, all tapping away on their phones (Not customers that came to eat by the way). Than going into the EAT OUT TO HELP OUT scheme was not fulfilled. On a £30 bill the chap tried to say £10 max discount? It wasnt me eating on my own Tried to fob us with an explanation along the lines of need to spend over certain amount. Wont be going there...

The person who served us was really on nerve and pathetic. He was angry when i asked him about what was included in the menu for the Lamb doner. He did not let the lamb doner being cooked properly as if he was really in hurry while there was nobody else to be served. He was rude and would dispute everyting i would ask. The oil used for the chips was cold...hence the chips i got were very oily. The salad had so much onions as compared to the lettuce which was supposed to be the main part of the salad. I really feel disgusted by this person...and the quality of food being served.. Only the chicken doner was fine but dry...
