Can I just say 'WOW'! Had a night away in London for a gig with hubby, and were looking for a bite to eat before we had to get ready for the concert. Saw this advertised last minute, looked at the menu and immediately agreed between us that this would be the place to go. We were immediately greeted by friendly staff who let us choose the table and gave us menus. The drinks were amazing and nostalgic (mint lemonade), then we were served up with a starter of onion rings with the bacon gravy - these were PROPER onion rings, fully battered large rings. Then the food - I went for the tribute burger which sounded delicious from the menu, was even better when I took my first bite. I don't usually like getting messy with my food but THIS was an experience. We also had the BBQ Mayo on the side and the seasonal coleslaw, which was to DIE FOR (whoever thought of this and made it deserves to win the lottery). We were very fully at the end and this kept us going throughout the evening. Also, considering it was London, the prices were reasonable and we would definitely consider coming back here again if we are ever back in London in the near future!

Was craving some decent burger, when I saw the photos on their website it looked nice and I’ve heard of their burgers to be good. Went to collect my order from the old street branch and it was dead quit, it was weird, but I thought maybe it’s the time of the day I went in. I had already ordered online on my way, so I don’t end up waiting around because it says waiting time around 20-40 mins. I got a burger, came home and to my shock, the chips looked like they were from the day before. For £11.60 I believe for a burger and chips I was very disappointed, even fast food restaurants do look fresher than what I had. I’m convinced I was giving a burger that went bad, the lettuce were soggy and yellowish, you can tell it was old and it smelled. The chips were defo not fresh. I think they made them sometime in the morning or the day before and just reheated it. I couldn’t eat it even tho I was so hungry and being pregnant I couldn’t bother going back to the shop and ask for a refund. I’ve added photos so you can see what I mean.

Nestled near Old Street, Honest Burger offers a casual dining experience with a focus on quality ingredients. On my recent visit, I was excited to try their Halal options, specifically the chicken tenders. These crispy bites were nothing short of delicious, perfectly seasoned and fried to golden perfection. However, my excitement waned when I sampled the Honest Fried Chicken Burger. While it boasted a juicy chicken breast, American cheese, and a medley of toppings like ranch mayo, lettuce, and pickles, I found it lacked the punch I was hoping for. The buffalo sauce was barely noticeable, leaving the burger feeling a tad underwhelming. On a brighter note, the mint lemonade stole the show! It was incredibly refreshing, striking the perfect balance of sweetness and zest. Overall, while the chicken tenders were a standout, the burger didn’t quite hit the mark for me. I’ll definitely return for that mint lemonade, but I might explore other options next time. If you’re in the area, give their tenders a try!

Incredibly poor experience on Friday (22/11). Met at the entrance by a surly waiter, who assigned us to a table that was soaking wet from a poor wipe down, despite the restaurant being a third full. The said waiter asked us if we were ready to order within 15 seconds of siting down, and proceeded to ask every 30 seconds, despite our drying the table and then looking at the menu. He was then disingenuous about a promotion Honest is currently running and mistook our order on this promotion. We had no fault with the food, and it was delivered promptly by another waiter. When it came to paying, the previous waiter was disinterested and ignored us on two passes by our table. He then brought the bill over which contained items that we hadn't ordered. We challenged him and he tried to deny his error, before relenting. We then learned that the ordered and consumed items were INDIVIDUALLY cheaper than the promotion he had been pushing. We had a standoff and refused to pay the additional charge. He eventually relented, again, after our demanding to speak with the manager, and then muttered something under his breath when we said we would not be paying the service charge (why would we pay for such terrible service?). Honestly (no pun intended), this guy should be sacked; he's an embarrassment and i'm sure we were not alone in facing his tantrum, deceitful, and child-like behaviour that night. Honest should also look at the promotion they are running at Old Street, since it is not a "promotion" per sae, across all of the items within its scope, and their individual...

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!! Caused food poisoning for half our group. This restaurant has very poor standard of hygiene and serves raw undercooked beef burgers. We were a group of 4 people and my friend and I ended up being very sick from these disgusting oily burgers 12hrs after consupmption. It ruined the rest of my weekend plans and as I am writing this review, I still have significant discomfort and symptoms from the food poisoning with my appetite not coming back and still experiencing extreme nausea. The staff are really rude, our waiter was very unfriendly and did not care about providing the bare minimum service. They managed to get our order wrong multiple times, forgetting to bring sides and items.

When I reported the food poisoning incident to the manager, she was also very sarcastic and rude telling me to "enjoy the rest of my day" knowing full well I was going to be stuck with my head in the toilet due to their poor cooking. No one has actually got back in touch with me to investigate the food poisoning, I'm grateful for the refund but I am never ever stepping foot in your branch or an Honest Burgers again. For the experience we had, I believe we should be compensated. I will also report you to the local council. The food was far too greasy, oily and salty - it didn't taste of anything other...

Honest Burgers isn't just a burger joint – it's a temple to the almighty patty, a shrine to succulent, juicy, drool-worthy beef (or the plant-based equivalent, if that's your jam). My recent pilgrimage to their Old Street location was nothing short of a burger epiphany.

The Atmosphere: Stepping into Honest Burgers is like stepping into a cozy, industrial-chic haven. Exposed brick walls and warm Edison bulbs create a laid-back yet stylish vibe, while the open kitchen lets you witness the burger magic firsthand. The aroma of sizzling beef and caramelized onions is enough to make your stomach do a happy dance.

Beyond the Beef: Don't let the beefy name fool you – Honest Burgers caters to all dietary preferences. Their vegan options are equally mouthwatering ingredients and textures. Plus, their rosemary salted chips are suitable for all diets, making them the perfect side for any burger adventure.

The Verdict: Honest Burgers isn't just a casual lunch spot – it's an experience. It's a testament to the power of fresh, quality ingredients, cooked with love and care. It's where burger dreams come true, one messy, delicious bite at a time. So, if you're ever in London and have a hankering for a burger that's anything but ordinary, make your way to Honest Burgers. Your taste buds (and your soul)...
